It's probably............'slightly' less taxing to make the boxes coloured than to write new content, huh, dontcha think?

Well for one there won't be as many calls to a GM about being ripped off, and I really don't think its that damn hard to add these boxes to the icons.

It's not like there is 100 different types of currency, there are 9 different icons, big. deal.

Yea, let's keep this same exploitable system(s) in place and don't fix it. Please so we can lose more of our customer base when someone get ripped off for 20 mil for making an honest mistake, then stops playing because of it.

While we're at it we have also made it so Empy items are now able to be bought on the AH and sold in bazaars.

SE's job is to keep players happy and satisfied, im not sure what rock you live under, but there will be an exp. coming in a few months So please tell me again how they aren't updating content/making new events again?

I can understand making a mistake once, but do people honestly make this mistake over and over again? I'm well over half way done with the final stage now and every time I buy some I find myself checking a few times if I think it's a 100 piece or not. I never bought a single one yet overpriced. And since I said something, INB4 I make the "I traded 71 silvers + 29 bronze to the goblin while making a 10,000 piece" mistake in a couple week here!

Maybe FFXI needs a new warning label: "Don't purchase Dynamis Currency while intoxicated or after too many hours in a PW shout party"

I beleive that in now way should SE be holding your hand through buying currency, hell, ANYTHING that you aren't paying attention to. Same thing goes for people who over-pay on the AH because they put too many 0's in there, or didn't double-check the price they're paying.

Whatever the reason for the mistake, it doesn't make it right or acceptable to deliberately price a single as a hundred in the hope someone makes a mistake, Intoxicated or not, tired out or not, so anything that helps stop these greedy arses is good in my book.

i knew people that made a lot of money off this amusing "exploit". I never had any sympathy for the buyers, pay attention.

Scam artists exist in every day life, if you're not paying enough attention while spending your in-game money, then I'd hate to see you play a game of three card montey.

It seems like most of the comments against this change are from people that don't have relics/don't have them listed. I know it's not hard to make them; It's just an observation.

Well, let's see 90% of the good items are rare/ex, if they were not gil sellers would over run the server and the game would go belly up in a couple of months.

Complaining about this would be like complaining about them making empy and af+2 item rare/ex.

Either that or they have mules in said server trying to do exactly what SE is trying to thwart.

Just popped in to say wow, SE is holding ppls hands with buying from other ppl? To me (and yes I made this mistake before, as I have also done the extra “0" on the end of an AH sale ><) this is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. Why waste time on something that is largely a player based issue and not a program/game issue.
Check what your buying before you buy, would you test drive a car first? I would. Get a house inspection before signing papers? Hell yes.

SE trying to end scumbag activity is a step up from such gems as bells and chocobo racing.

There is no need to go through all this *** to make the currency differ from eachother. SE needs to work on making new game content. There is a simple solution to this. When you buy currency you should watch what you buy. I laugh when people *** up and buy a bunch of singles thinking they are 100s. They deserve it. Dont *** because you arent smart enough to read.

For the record: Why do you think changing icons and adding new content cannot BOTH be done? It's as if you believe they're mutually exclusive....

All i'm saying is instead of wasting time doing that they should put more time into the new content. And I love to hear all the drama because someone put a single in their bazzar that was over priced. They swear like its not their fault for not reading before they buy

Except it doesn't matter if this happens or not. It doesn't affect content releases because SE already pointed out everything they are releasing for the rest of the year.

We all know that whenever new content is released that there are bugs and problems. Mayb they should spend more time fine-tuning to where there are less bugs instead of doing the currency

Some how, the adding of color boxes will break Dynamis and 100's will drop like they are singles.
