I saw a PLD doing this the other day, and I have to admit I was really impressed.

Maybe PLD won't be lost in obscurity after all.

I have seen a Paladin use the cleaving tactic but never on a NM that was fun to see and awesome job. Could you give a list of atmas you use and sub just for reference as well? I don't know that much about Pld but I'm curious.

On a side note, was there a nerf to Lethal Triclip? I noticed you never lost your cruor buffs. I haven't fought Bukhis in a long time but I remember losing buffs pretty easily with that.

Successful block on TP move block add effects. Since cruor buff loss is add effect on Lethal Triclip and I blocked all of them I never lost buffs :)

I used Apocalypse, Gnarled Horn, Razed Ruins.

Augmented yataghan from Abyss-Grauberg (can buy from Dominion Tactician). Augment on it doesn't really matter.

Well, really you'd want a martial knife, but those things are rare as hell on my server. And the ENM sucks.

This is incredible and not five minutes prior to reading this thread I cancelled my IDs because I haven't been playing in a while and my credit card is maxed at the moment, but this makes me want to give it a shot.

My PLD has been retired for a lot of Abyssea in favour of WHM whoring. I figure even without Ochain one might be able to build their own group (everyone always wants FCs) or pave their way with infinite gil earned from having leechers paying you and then work your way to emp from there.

The Bukhis fight is what really sells it.

OMG, lol! I've been wanting one since Aoelian Edge came out, and I never noticed PLD couldn't wear it. ROFL!. Well, just as well that I never got one. I mean, it still sucks, but that's one less thing I need to get.

You have inspired me to get off my butt and get working on getting this shield.

The enm isn't so bad... I hear some jobs can solo it... it's getting to the enm that sucks lol

Yeah, I've solo'd it on PLD. Damn.. that was such a waste of time. One the bright side, no need to do that anymore.

How do you still have cruor buffs while blood tanking bukhis?
Do they not get wiped if shield procs on Ruinous/Triclip?

Do you think Ochain is worth it?! I have been thinking about completing one for a while now and need a opinion from someone who has it?

Kinda depends on what you have and what you want to do. With a decent group even small amount if they dedicated you can get it done relatively fast like Ato... if not could take you forever. I've decided that I will start making it (and lvl pld) if I reach 25 plates without farming them. So far I'm at 10 or so just from going with groups to do one thing and then they end up killing an ironclad or something. I've actually managed to get a few seals that way too lol. Oh no one wants all those seals? Guess I know what job I'm lvling next ^^

vnms are a *** though... I'd try getting those before the server merge if you are on a server merging... competetion for T2 is pretty high in alot of places and you sometimes basically see people popping it the 2nd they are back up because they spread out amongst the spawn points and use apradar and such

Yeah, I'm at a stall on the VNMs. I'll be back on the game here in a week or two then I plan to push through them. Sitting on a Dynamis Shield that's almost an Ancile but I want an Ochain lol.

Um don't you see all the changed gear spammage in the text box?

You know how you can't blink out till the effects going off on you finish? Kinda like when you get cure locked by something. I've had that happen while super tanking mass mobs. Try to engage and stand the with melee hits showing in the log but unable to ws cause my animation won't unlock.

Could be like that. Can't blink out cause so much ***'s going off on him non stop.
