Empy +2 Possibly bugged?
Correct, just means your bug report was good. Confirmed/Planning to Address is what we want. But more then likely it will join the rest of the reports in Unable to Verify.
If you can, you should post pictures of what the issue is in that thread. To make it easier for the developers to see what's going on. Remove all your addon stuff obv.
If someone gets a good screenshot that won't get them banned, we could submit it in mass to the current screenshot contest.
Preferably Dyna-D. Feel free to MS paint a cherry blossom tree onto it. RadialArcana said: » If you can, you should post pictures of what the issue is in that thread. And get hit until you get a big hit. No gearswapping required.
It shouldve been figured out the exact cause 2 years ago but no one can spare their precious gil to sack one run and narrow it down. Its easier to just say *** the body and not bother using it at all. Apathy ftw. And why doesnt Eiryl do it if its so simple but "no one can spare their precious gil to sack one run"??
Oh ya, he doesnt have a PLD with Empy+2, nor do his chars have access to Divergence. Hell, even if he did, he'd have no ability to get to wave 3. He cant even get through the first floor of Sheol A lol. I didnt think anyone would fulltime Empy+2/3 body and stand there with 17 other people, waiting to get curb stomped.
Well I guess it could be entertaining for a single time. Maybe twice. Many times if it's a WWE heel? I regularly tank Dynamis W3 on PLD, play without gearswap, and have an empy body, but I don't think it will make any difference whatsoever to a bug report to include a screenshot of someone getting owned by a fomor. They accepted the bug, they just haven't bothered to fix it.

Perhaps drop your confirmations before they move it to "Bugged as intended." This has been moved to "Confirmed/Planning to Address." ![]() Your bug report was the chosen one. 30 Months to confirm, That's about on par for a problem fix in XI
2 years later Bahamut.Zedoma said: » ![]() Your bug report was the chosen one. Certainly, or my name wouldn't be Certainly. Keep in mind they work on a 2-3 month delay (or more lately), so patches they make this month won't be seen for many months in the future. So even if they fix this today you won't see it for a while, so don't expect a fast response. Still important to push for it to be fixed though.
RadialArcana said: » don't expect a fast response lol, there are bugs that have been sitting in "confirmed/planning to address" for 12 years Some of that is just bad bug tracker hygiene. Things like Lifestream cape's localization have been fixed for years.

April update notes: "Incurring heavy damage as a knight while wearing empyrean armor It took a long time for us to get to the bottom of this one, but we were able to identify the rather complex conditions that caused this issue to occur. This bug will be fixed as part of the upcoming version update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/62581 Success. surprisingly fast turn around, good on them for getting it addressed.
I wonder if the limbus work just means they have the people to actually look at these other items while workin on xi and that is part of why it got done. Fast turnaround. What.
Fast by their standards. I guess. Quote: 2022-09-04 Asura.Eiryl said: » Fast turnaround. What. If we ignore the other 5 identical bug reports, sure.

*the aforementioned statement has exaggerated for dramatic effect You ruined the joke. Both of you. Thanks.
Vanilla PLD checking in. Hardly a brag, BUT.... that's kinda how we got to the bottom of insta-rekt in w3. The first couple OHKO were surprises, but the consistency in w3 was sus.We had a backup tank >_> luckily. I'm not pleased that I hung on to this thread long enough to hear someone got the *** up the foodchain successfully. Keep doing great things!
"The issue wherein significant damage could be unintentionally incurred when both the player and monster were simultaneously targeted and readied for a skillchain."
"When being hit by a monster with the special ability "Mijin Gakure" in Dynamis – Divergence." There were mixed opinions about Mijin being a bug or not, but after all, it was. I'm kinda sad to see this go. :D no wonder it was so hard to pin down if it required player and monster to be skillchained at the same time
Well, seems like I was half right?
So. That's a very difficult scenario to randomly replicate.
Definitely not the "it took 30 months to figure out" kind. But not a simple one either. It wasn't just an underflow for damage:enmity, but a swapping of skillchain states. Which is, odd. Not something you can randomly find by letting mobs attack you. They had to actually make skillchains and be skillchained at the same time. That's literally impossible to set up in a test scenario. So had they actually played the game at all, they might've been able to find it, but since they don't, it must've been damn hard. |
