Localization Errors (Typos) - English Client
The in-game description for Dragon Kick now in part reads "Delivers an eightfold attack." Testing confirms that it's still only twofold (same TP return as other twofold H2H WS).
The Raaz pet in the Bumba fight is called Bumba's Razz instead of Bumba's Raaz.
If not reported yet, Gazu Bracelet and Gazu Bracelet +1 exists, but the icon shows two bracelets and it is dropped from UNM version of Cassie, who drops Aiming Bracelets.
All other Bracelets in the game are plural except Corse Bracelet, whose icon only shows a single Bracelet imo. The wording of the Phalanx enhancement stat on Sakpata's sword is different from every other Phalanx received piece.
Arete del luna and (Arete del luna +1)
Read as: Resist Stun+15 and (Resist Stun+20) Should read as: "Resist Stun"+15 and ("Resist Stun"+20) All of the other resist traits on it have the quotation marks around them but it seems they missed them on the Stun part. I don't know if we caught this one yet, but Sokushitsu sune-ate says "Kick Attacks+85" in the English version, which normally means that kick rate increases by 85%. However, the equipment actually gives Kick base damage +85, which would normally be "Kick Attacks" attack +85 in the English version.
The JP version has the correct description (same characters in the description as Shukuyu Sune-Ate) so this is a localization issue. ![]() Sroda Ring has "Physical damage cap", while other items with the same stat call it "Physical damage limit".
PUP empy head (Karagoz Capello and Karagoz Capello +1) have wrong spelling, as you can check from the previous Abyssea version.
It's written "Capello" whereas it should be "Cappello". It's an italian word, like all the names for the 5 pieces of the PUP Empy armor set. "Cappello" means "Hat" in italian. "Capello" means "Hair" (single one). Thought they fixed this long ago but I guess I was wrong, just noticed it! If no one has reported it yet, the "belligerent bang" message is: "You hear a belligerent bang from one of the remaining treasure chest."
However, "chest" is obviously plural in this message and it should be: "You hear a belligerent bang from one of the remaining treasure chests." This was fixed pre-OP update. The first cutscene in The Voracious Resurgence Mission 5-4 uses the wrong subject pronoun for the player, e.g. "she" if the player is male.
One of V20 Bumba's possible minions is named Bumba's Cracklaw (should be Bumba's Craklaw).
Edit: Ngai's Cracklaw has the same error. We can act like Khoma Thread and Comaa Belt weren't two attempts to phonetically spell the same thing in English, but they probably were. Would be nice if they were consistent.
One of the Demons in Einherjar is called "Berserkr" I am guessing they meant it to be Berserker?
No, Berserkr is how you spell it in Old Norse.
Items with "Reduces Movement Speed":
Scuta Cape, Mollusca Mantle, Oneiros Barbut, Oneiros Axe Items with "Decreases Movement Speed": Dusk Musk/Jerkin/Gloves/Trousers/Ledelsens (NQ and HQ), Lavalier +1, Mahant Sandals, Oily Trousers, Plumb Boots, Raikiri Saw this on Voracious Resurgence mission 4-3
"Thep ower of the blue" ![]() Not sure if this was mentioned (not going back to check :/)
Quanpur necklace says: "Earth Magic Atk. Bonus" +5 Other elemental affinity+ pieces say [Element] Elemental Magic Atk. Bonus" (See Pixie hairpin +1, Perfervid Sword, Marin Staff/+1, Archon Ring) Also, the "e" in elemental on Perfervid Sword is lower case (at least the one on BG wiki, someone who has it in-game can confirm), but upper case in all other instances above The weapon "Dragon Fangs" from mog bonanza has Delay: 126" in English instead of "Delay: +126" like other H2H. The JP version is +126 as expected.
I'm not sure if it's a localization error or an error in general, but in Nyzul Isle Investigations, if you click on an activated lamp in on a floor with the Same Time objective, it says something to tune of "All lamps have been activated, but something else is required to fulfill the objective", even if that's the only lamp active.
I'm guessing it's supposed to say this lamp instead of all lamps instead. Macuil plating has two typos in the description; should be "otherworldly" and "stench".

cirque cappello becomes karagoz caPello, in italian the difference is from "hat" to "hair" so karagoz cappello would be the correct localization, they just missed a p. This one is petty, but 3/5 of the RUN AF/Relic has French names instead of English.

The help text for the Tactician's Roll buff says "TP is gradually increasing.", while all other buffs affecting point-based acronyms (including Adloquium) use the more correct plural copula "are".

![]() They say "Fast Cast"+7, where the rest of the set (NQ/+1/+3) say "Fast Cast"+x% I did a quick search on FFXIAH for "fast cast"+ and then doing a search for %, didn't see anything else that does it. |
