Yes, the idea is that the NPC is describing their chocobo racing bet. It just seems to me that "ID<Numeric Parameter 3>" was supposed to be replaced with a chocobo name.
I guess it isn't a localization issue, though! Thanks for the find, Radec.

Localization Errors (Typos) - English Client
Yes, the idea is that the NPC is describing their chocobo racing bet. It just seems to me that "ID<Numeric Parameter 3>" was supposed to be replaced with a chocobo name.
I guess it isn't a localization issue, though! Thanks for the find, Radec. So I was just looking at SMN, and saw a discontinuity.
The Ammo sachets up until Epitath say ""Blood Pact" recast time II -#" using the words "recast time" Epitath says ""Blood Pact" ability delay II -5" using the words "ability delay". A look through FFXIAH shows that "recast time" is only used on the relic and AF legs as "Shortens magic recast time for elemental avatars" or "Shortens magic recast time for spirits" with "ability delay" BP stat. Meanwhile "ability delay" is on many more pieces. Not so much an error as a discontinuity. The pieces are: Idaraaja Seraphicaller Eminent Sachet Sancus Sachet Sancus Sachet +1 Another minor discontinuity. I guess I love to nitpick.
The ammo piece Inlamvuyeso says DEF:+10 The colon and then a plus sign threw me off, so I went to search to see if other pieces had this, and it's an interesting split. There are around 40 DEF+ entries I found using this linked query (put minimum level as 1 to filter out food, I can't seem to cleanly link the page directly with that filter applied) and some DEF- entries And about 10 DEF:+ entries I found using this linked query and no DEF:- entries Not a big deal. Just an interesting discovery (to me). ![]() Not sure if it's been said on here, Cornelia's Belt reads....
STR: 10 as opposed to STR+10 It still grants the 10 strength in case you were wondering. I guess Cornelia's ring is actually weapon skill accuracy + 20 rather than +10. Unless the typo is on the jp side.

I think it should be: Bihu Jstcorps. +1
Also there is a lot of inconsistency in the abbrevations: Brioso Just. +1 Brioso Justau. +3 Bihu Jstcorps +1 Bihu Jstcorps. +3 ![]() > Your Imperial Standing has increased by 8333 credits !
> Your has Imperial Standing has increased by 200 accolades ! The second "has" is definitely wrong and the space before the exclamation point is weird. Just. is the best of the 3 abbreviations
When completing the Mog House Exit quest for Aht Urghan, following line is displayed:
"Ahkk Jharcham begins furiously scibbling a map of town with a giant "X" covering a certain place." I think it should either say "a map of the town" or something similar, leaving out the article seems strange here. Nah, that's fine. "map of town" refers to the town you are currently in. Town being your town, where you are.
"map of a town" leaves out which town you are referring to which is even more confusing. A town, which town. This one or another town. |
