Thanks, Obama. /whispers pssst you're in the wrong thread... health insurance is <over there> Edit: this is the greedy moneybags backstroking scrooge mcduck style across a swimming pool filled with gold coins buying up all the politics type things thread.... Bismarck.Ihina said: » Anecdote, but my parents had to cancel their health insurance because it was getting to around 600/month. They now pay around 120/month. Thanks, Obama. Pretty much everyone Fox News or Koch Brothers ad has brought on was challenged and showed that they either had garbage insurance or their rates would have gone down if they actually looked into Obamacare. Are there any stories of anyone's rates legitimately going up for little to no reason? EDIT: WRONG thread lol moved to <over there> Cerberus.Pleebo said: » This thread is a prime example of people going against they're own interests ('cause I know none of y'all are rich ***) just to spite the libtardos. I'm sure the aristocracy is pleased with your efforts and a reward biscuit will be assigned to everyone soon. Talk about voting against your interests, the laws and regulations of this presidency have served to do nothing but keep poor people poor and slow to stop their crawl out of poverty into economic independence. Vote democrat, become a ward of the state and never have to worry that the money we borrow to keep you there will ever run out! Find work smarter/harder!
Congress passes laws. The president signs them.
Whatever, people can donate whatever they want, money isn't going to change people's political affiliation.
Burn em down? Huh? I'm sorry that you think piles upon piles of dark money is somehow a boon to democracy. Seriously, I am.

Even last year, while my dad was still on hospice, policies changed due to Obamacare and he was no longer able to get a physical therapist out when he had health insurance and had a physical therapist in 2012. It's not like Obamacare just came out as an extra option and nothing else changed with other insurance policies or within the medical offices themselves. Obamacare being passed did cause insurance companies to change policies, as well as policies within the medical field. It's not all bad, obviously, but there are people who got completely screwed over due to Obamacare. Quote: So burn em down because they have greater means? Gotcha! Lennin must whisper sweet nothings to you in your dreams. Seriously, get over yourself and find work smarter/harder if you want to rise. On one hand you got them fighting the implementation of aspects of the ACA and using the platform of religious freedoms to avoid having to provide policies that offer discounted contraceptives and abortion pills. Then on other hand Hobby Lobby invests in such pharmaceuticals as Pfizer, Teva, Bayer, AstraZeneca, and Forest Laboratories. Which all manufacture IUDs, abortion pills, contraceptives the whole 9. So it turns out with both hands brought together. Hobby Lobby invests in the very product they claim is against their religious beliefs. Or in other words they're not trying to have you or their employees get their invested products on the cheap. More than likely the Koch brothers have the same two faced dealings with respect to their agenda. Rich people flood money into both sides of the aisle already. The only time a partisan line is drawn is over *** that doesn't matter and serves as a distraction from real issues. Our government has been hijacked for awhile, this is just making the process easier for those bank rolling politicians. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » So burn em down because they have greater means? Gotcha! Anyone been to Ted Cruz's facebook page lately? Cerberus.Pleebo said: » Burn em down? Huh? I'm sorry that you think piles upon piles of dark money is somehow a boon to democracy. Seriously, I am. Corporations ARE people. Money IS speech.
The supreme court has concluded such things. I was making the point that it was helping more people than it was hurting. You're both refusing to acknowledge you are in the wrong thread!
This is the evil republican money machine triumphs over the poor people thread! THE ACA THREAD!!! Don't look at me, I wasn't the first one to bring it up.
Anyways, this is an example of people being too stupid to realize they've fallen for propaganda. No, no one here is going to dump their life's savings towards any particular candidate. You need to look at how this law is actually going to be used, rather how it could theoretically be used. All this does is chip away at laws that are put in place to outlaw and prevent bribery. I don't understand how everyone loves to point out and criticize corruption, then half of us support rulings that will lead to that corruption. |
