could be, but he was spamming and proc was red, so that would already be different from abyssea proc system.

If its piercing empyrean during Piercing time, then not much people would do wildfire or Camlann imo.

Blue proc originally greatly increased the chance of rare loot drops according to wiki; if procs are still somehow a thing, and we assume he didnt miss the proc showing, it still might be possible to have a stupidly rare luck drop if that is still a thing.
Basically just soloed VD on rdm, went in with GEO and unkillable trusts but geo died in first minute and never got back up for more than a couple seconds. Just sanguine bladed the whole way, put debuffs back up as necessary, and spammed holy waters on doom/dispel on mighty guard. Had over 11 min left at end. Just earring and a bunch of boxes.
They even did a remake of the struggle to get inside, I remember doing that over a decade ago to get in for the normal one. That's the hard part of the fight I guess lol

Pretty much in agreement with Kuja here. Said as much in the Shinryu thread myself. Our group from last night got Scythe to drop with no visible sign of proc'ing, and I was tanking, so I had a full view of everything that was going on during our fights.

If, and only if, the proc system actually exists, then it's likely that it isn't available except on Normal or higher difficulties, much like how Lilith's Spitewardens don't spawn on Easy or Very Easy. Would explain how people testing procs on VE and E didn't get it to work.
Also, proccing Shinryu might lead to him becoming more dangerous by TP moves unlocking or doing more damage. Might be the reason why it randomly felt harder during nighttime, assuming that person's group randomly procced without noticing.

Starting to think i didnt see red proc and it was just the red tp move based on other reports. was only like 10% sure i saw it.
