I expect that people will be ticked off that life in prison is off the table, but his actions seem to fit the definition of “depraved-heart murder”, which is 3rd degree murder in Minnesota’s law. Which is why I think they'll end up plea bargaining down to manslaughter / negligent homicide. Max sentence of like ten or fifteen years with most people doing five to seven. That is a helluva lot more attractive then twenty or more. The family has since taken possession of his body and has hired Dr. Michael Baden to perform an independent autopsy. Offline

This was San Jose today, if you watch closely your first thought should be "this is definitely not going to end well". volkom said: » friend sent me this on discord YouTube Video Placeholder the original video showing this was removed by youtube They (the internet lol) suspect its undercover police. Currently the suspect of the known mystery individuals to be a Jacob Pederson of St. Paul PD. I was hoping the charges would help quell the riots, but I guess when we got a President out there calling them thugs and threatening to shoot them, flame on.
Atlanta's protests have started escalating.
San Jose too.

The White House has been on lockdown for 5hrs. https://mobile.twitter.com/finnygo/status/1266510860958269441 Wife of Minneapolis Police officer charged in George Floyd's death files for divorce
Didn't take his wife long to nope herself out the situation. Smart move. Asura.Veikur said: » San Jose too. Last time the Police did something this stupid I mentioned it would only escalate if they kept abusing their positions. You want to know what's worse then Floyd? Lookup Breonna Taylor and how the police got away with murder. When the full story got out the FBI got involved and the Police Chief has put in to retire June 30th. No officers charged for a few months but that will likely change in the near future. In another layer to the story, apparently Floyd and Chauvin were former coworkers?
George Floyd And Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin Worked Security At The Same Nightclub. People Who Worked With Them Can't Believe It. I'm not convinced that they actually knew each other well, as Chauvin worked outside and Floyd worked inside. But hey, it's Buzzfeed News so take it for what it's worth. Downtown LA is fuuuucked.

I keep forgetting to look up laws for other states, this is why I defaulted to Murder 2: 2014 Oklahoma Statutes Title 21. Crimes and Punishments §21-701.8. Murder in the second degree. Universal Citation: 21 OK Stat § 21-701.8 (2014) Homicide is murder in the second degree in the following cases: 1. When perpetrated by an act imminently dangerous to another person and evincing a depraved mind, regardless of human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual; or 2. When perpetrated by a person engaged in the commission of any felony other than the unlawful acts set out in Section 1, subsection B, of this act. Added by Laws 1976, 1st Ex.Sess., c. 1, § 2, eff. July 24, 1976. Well, apparently third degree murder isn’t even a thing in most states, so it wasn’t a bad guess.
Police now shooting at the reporters. (doesn't make it ok that they're rubber bullets)
This doesn't end well. Shooting at them while they're in areas police designated for them to operate in.
Good look, law enforcement. Blind Latino man shot 7 times by cops in Lancaster. Apparently stood around a bit before trying CPR when they realised his white cane wasn't a weapon.
YouTube Video Placeholder -_-
YouTube Video Placeholder Trump with more partisan attacks, keep fanning those flames.

We are calling him out for launching partisan attacks and threatening violence during a crisis, instead of calling for peace like every other leader.
what about the many other high profile individuals who support the riots and the looting? shouldn't they be held to the same standards?
Hold individuals to the same standard as the President of the United States? No one should be held to that high of a standard. The President should set the bar for everyone to aspire to. Needless to say, that has certainly not been the case for the last 4 years.
Also, haven't seen too many people supporting the looting...I mean maybe Ice Cube has fanned the flames, but that was a few days ago, well before the actual looting starting. And Ice Cube speaking out against racial injustice is his entire career.
