DDoS square makes literally zero sense. It doesn't punish the company a single bit.
Not a single solitary person will quit because of it, and they already got paid for the month regardless whether or not you can connect. Doesn't make them look bad either, they do that all on their own, so why bother.

Maybe they recently had a negative interaction with a GM. I know many people who have been wrongly punished for things they had no control of.
