Two days ago I had to wade through nearly knee deep water to get to my vehicle after work. It rained A LOT that day. I was suprised it started. Mufflers sound funny under water >_>

Yeah, you're lucky. ._. Sometimes if the muffler is flooded, the exhaust backs up and causes a huge problem upon start up. ><

Well what saved me was the fact that it was pointed downward (incline). Water wasn't very high in it.

The same as any desert weather. I'm waiting for the cold mornings to stay all day.

Funny how a mountain chain can make several different climates within a few miles of each other.

I'd say communication skills first, Korpg. You have a weird way of coming off as an *** in almost all instances I've read, and that can be a little deterring if you feel you actually have a valid opinion to share with the internets. Too many *** as it is!

I know my weakness in communication, but I'm rereading all my posts and I don't see myself being an *** >.>

Here's a nice story for everyone:

I started college in fall of 1999, didn't graduate until spring 2005. So I went to school for 6 years. If you a college student and you're not poor, either you have a rich family, or you're dealing drugs.

I had a job for about 6 months during college, like a real job, at radio shack, not one working for the college. I just didn't have the time to work and go to school together, only time I tried I had to drop a class.

Why did it take me 6 years? Simple, I worked on 2 majors and 2 minors all at the same time. Hence the not having time to work thing.

Graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems, minor in Mathematics. B.A. Philosophy, minor in Psychology. All achieved at the same time when I graduated in 2005.

So how did I make ends meet? Simple, dealing drugs. Everything from pot to coke, all types of prescription pills, back when they were super easy to order online, almost everything except herion, though OCs were close enough.

By the time I was in my 4th year, everyone knew me, including the campus police, who were also the town police as well. People around me got busted all the time. It's all about who knows you! They never once tried to even bust me.

Hell, by my 5th year I was driving to class using the service only roads and parking literally next to where my class was. Even though the campus apartments were about a 10-15 walk from where the campus started, people would still drive to class, but the parking lots would require a good walk to class anyways. So during my 5th a year my roommate who was my roommate since my 2nd year worked for the ground crew. Hence my ability to drive to class using the service roads and just park next the building, sometimes even forgetting to put up that sticker, the police and others got so used to my car being there they didn't care.

Our apartment was like the place to be. People would just show up at any give day or time with beer or whatnot and start partying.

When a bunch of us starting working for the computer science department, we even had a direct connect server setup for the campus. The best part was it was a computer I put together that had no case, it was just a motherboard carefully placed on top of a piece of wood, with the power supply and drives stacked up next to it.

So come the night before graduation, we had a huge party! And I mean huge! Even the straightest edge kids were trying drugs for the first time. So come around 1am, our smoke detector goes off. There's no way to hide half the ***that laying around. Too much alcohol, there was a bunch of people under 21. Too much white powder everywhere. Too much smoke everywhere. It was a mess. On top of this, within 2minutes of the alarm going off, a cop bangs on the door. People are so *** up, they don't know what to do. Everyone just freezes. So I open the door and say, I think I said hello, lol. My exact words after hello were like, "I got no excuse, it's obvious, we're partying like animals." The cop looks around the room once, sees all the people all *** up and frozen in fear. Obviously he can see the alcohol all over, the furniture flipped for beer pong, the messes of white powder residue everywhere, the bongs, bowls, pipe etc. sitting around, etc.

Now I can tell he's a new cop, well at least less than 2 years on the force, because I pretty much knew them. So after he looks around the room, he asks me what my name is. I tell him, and he's like oh, you're the guy who works for the computer science department, completing 2 majors tomorrow and some other stuff about me. I'm like yeah, how did you know? He doesn't answer, walks over to the smoke detector, rips it off the ceiling. Then he tells me, "Apparently you're going to get fined $250 once you move out because of a damaged smoke detector. Don't make me come out here again tonight!" And leaves.

Best way to leave college, for me anyways, lol!. It took like a good 15-20minutes before people realized what happened. We then proceeded to party until about 5am, lol!

Ok, so what's my first job after I get out of college. That's right working at an Exxon pumping gas. I needed money, and fast, and legally, college loans are a ***. I started at $8/hr and left a year later at $11/hr. Best job I've had. I had jobs over the summer breaks, which all sucked. Working at a gas station is awesome because you don't need to pretend to be nice to anyone. If someone pisses you off, you can tell them off. It's great, no phoniness.

Since then, I've worked at a junk yard running their computers for inventory and selling their used heavy machines online. Worked testing circuit boards at a manufacturing plant. Got my A+ certification to repair computers and CompUSA for awhile. And my most recent job was maintaining a website for a small company, until I got laid off like 6 months ago. Still haven't found a job yet.

Since I was 21, I never had health care. Too expensive. Now when I turned 28 towards the beginning of this year I finally got health care through Medicaid, lol! Since then I still collect unemployment, but at least now I get health care.

Lost my license awhile back ago for #1 driving with a fake inspection sticker and expired registration. But then I got caught driving while suspended. So now basically I need like $2k to get my license back.

So unable to drive, no job prospects in sight in walking distance, no public transportation close by, I rely on my roommates to get around basically. I do not want to have to move back with my mom, *** that!

And now they want to try and fine me for not having health insurance?! I'll stick with unemployment and medicaid until they figure this ***out, lol! At least now I can finally go to the doctor's regularly.

The point of this story: College kicks ***, I wish I was still there! Best time of your life!

I could write a book, lol.

I left out the time I got busted for hacking into paypal and getting money using their paypal credit card thing. I actually just got off of probation on that in May! Hurray!

Then there's a slew of going to Newark stories, like the one time I got chased by an SUV with a guy pointing a gun at us, while I sped around the streets of Newark in reverse. That was epic!

Or the cop chase though Camden which ended up with me going down the wrong way on a way one street. All that came out of that was about $400 in fines, no points, lol! Cops even let us go afterward, so then we headed to Atlantic City.

Email joke of the day:

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. There fore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

There still are jobs. Just not ones people want to work.

If I had to work fast food to keep food on the table, I would. Do I like working fast food? Hell no. I worked 3 months or so if it and quit (despite becoming one of their best employees in that short time).
