E3 2013

Not sure if it's really E3 related, but AMD just announced the first consumer processor with a stock speed of 5GHZ. People have been overclocking to 5GHZ for a while now, so I'm not really sure if this is as "Big news" as they want it to sound.

but no seriously, AMD makes sub par processors, which annoys the living hell out of me that both MS AND Sony are using them... Better then an Nvidia CPU I suppose

MS are letting publishers choose DRM for their games in their own way/shape/form if they want.As are sony. MS just have the always online thing on top of that. Thats a consolewise thing,not the same publisher based DRM i was comparing it to. The publishers now have their own DRM choices on both consoles. Be it registered codes to accounts (like steam),always connected online to play X game even if single player,or fees for preowned games,or more we havent thought of. Both companies are open to w/e the publisher chooses

We already know, its EA. Worst publisher in the industry. Voted worst company in the US two years in a row (a bit extreme, Bank of America would have something to say about that). I'm fine with whatever EA does, because I dont play their games.

That was my point. Some of my favorite FF Concepts are back! The Judges of FFXII were probably the best pieces of Character Design SE has ever had, not overdesigned, but flamboyantly imposing. And I like the idea of the Espers being personifications of the malevolence of nature. Much better than BFF Summons in FFXI.


AMD Processors are cheaper by comparison for a reason. That's probably why the Console makers went with them. Console hardware already sells for a loss to razor-thin profit at best.


That's already how it works, just so you know. They never said otherwise, Sony's exact-ish words were that the current model will stand.

Don't get me wrong, it'd be nice Sony got some bigger balls and said "DRM doesn't work for ***, just drop it" but oh well. EA is discontinuing Online passes though, so I wouldn't be that pessimistic about it really.

And yes, the Always-Online is a DRM thing, it's done specifically to enforce the account locks.

you know, I was happy with EA when Dead Space 1 and 2 came out... then 3 came out... and my god, they can go die in a fire for raping that franchise to death like they did.

yeah, I agree pretty much 100%, doesn't mean it still doesn't annoy the crap out of me :/

The main thing I really hate about AMD Processors is they seem like the better option on price, but you really have to know your PC specs like FSB,etc to know just how inferior AMD processors really are.

So there's some exploitation of ignorance there, but ignorance is a choice so who's really at fault?

yeah and like I said before, it's kinda upsetting Nintendo played it safe... it's good news for people that bought the Wii-U to play Nintendo games... but I don't see anything that would convince people still on the fence.

I should have clarified, they existed in 1.0 from the beginning, although there was only Gaius and Ifrit then outside of the dats unless you count Leviathan.

The Primals were the gods of the beast men, similar in nature to The Twelve worshiped by the player races although somewhat less friendly.

I dont believe that, all they have released is Crysis Dead Space and NFS, and none of those games got a 9.

Go metacritic and check publisher records, they're at like an 84 average.

The Smash Bros announcement was pretty awesome, was not expecting it to come out in 2014.

Guys, Guys, I got it, you know Dead Space? let's take it, make it in super lit up areas, shoe horn Co-op in, add in a bafflingly stupid material management system for making weapons which is a sneaky way to have people be able to micro transaction buy materials like those terrible 'Free to play' phone games! Also, saving the best for last, let's make the game not scary at all!

I mean Dead Space 1 and 2 were two of my favorites games this generation, and I could only get about 50% through Dead Space 3, and it was a *** chore to get THAT far.

Yeah, Nintendo is not going to fool me again. See the Wii. See the two 3 month game droughts in the Wii U's first 6 months of life.

See the 3DS though. It had a slow launch, but it's definitely picked up a lot of speed now, so here's to hoping Wii U follows suit.

Sonic: Lost Worlds is going to be Nintendo exclusive. Looks interesting as it's a kind of a cross with Super Mario Galaxy in level design, and control doesn't seem as terrible as past titles so far.

People still give a ***about Sonic games?
