Delve weapons only

I'm having the opposite problem lol. I have groups still decline letting me join some groups(especially VW) on my Delve GK sam because it's not an REM. The few groups I joined they almost didn't let me get into a buffed DD party because of it. Even without buffs I still parsed 25-30% of the damage.
I think it ends up going both ways, really. It's honestly just idiots who think it has to be one way or nothing(imo). 
If people dont realise a weapon with nearly 80% more DMG will Destroy an Empy or Relic, they need to be shot.

One difference is people taking R/E/M SAMs DRKs WARs over a Rigor MNK. That alone just baffles me.

All i gotta say is I've done 1 delve and only got 660 Plasma from it, so i got no idea how you all think that getting 30,000 in a few hours is no problem.
Kryptonitic, if you have a Ukkon WAR I'm sure that is enough to get into any normal group, I'm not sure how to form a group since people all over are like "not enough damage need more delve weapons!" and others are like "too high evasion we need more accuracy gear!"
All i know is i prefer R/E/M, Damage doesn't seem to be far off from delve weapons, but you get the Aftermaths, shorter weapon delay(most of the time)
but,
I dunno, maybe I'm still wishing for 2010 FFXI again.

Maybe I'm thinking of something else, Delve is the 45 minute battle in a certain spot you enter right? Or is it those Raptor thing from Basalt? Either way I did it like a week ago, No idea if they made plasma drops higher

If you don't a delve weapon, do everyone including yourself a favor and play bard cor or whm or sch. Gimp DD = slow kills = less points for you and everyone else.

That's cuase gaxe sucks balls without ukko's. Upheaval is ***, unless you play on mightystrikes.
You should only be taking reso drk with berevers, sams and monks with rigors.
Pull 20 mobs and fell cleave them with new gaxe, or do raging rush before you say they are 'it's jsut a cool new weapon"

I can pull similar numbers with my cake-cutter on THF and DNC on the same mobs, does this mean that I should bring either and expect to be treated like a DD (or even invited) to a Delve NM clear?

Did a delve run today. I had been getting between 3k (bad runs where everyone is dead half the time) and had an awesome run that did over 8.5k. This was easily the record for me so far, and I ain't done a ton of delve compared to others.
I used Rag 95 til I got Bereaver today, and went in again and compared the difference. Bereaver absolutely destroys over Rag, even at a low rank. It can be upgraded to rank 15 with airlixirs and its already a beast at rank 6.
Get into a decent party, get some plasm, buy a new weapon, then make an opinion on them, because I am not surprised that some players only want delve weapons. They want to farm tons of plasm to upgrade all the gear, its going to be a bit of grind, but some players won't want to invite those who are new when they can get someone who has progressed.
Still, the content is very new, it is very rare for anybody to turn someone away unless they are the kind of player who should be doing Abyssea. It can be a little rough in there, so you can either get stronger to get into delve, or you can farm gil and buy shards.

I was doing 1-6k with my Rag in Ceizak delve. The run after I got Bereaver, I hit a 7.8k. I could probably get over 8k but I need better gear.

The mobs hit pretty damn hard. I can't see it being quicker because of having to time the nukes.
I can really imagine some DD out there doing 8-10k regularly before long. Even more so when we get strong enough for mega boss gear.

No, BLM is for stunning, d2-ing, enfeebling, and proccing.
Unless you somehow get into a version of delve with only matamatas, you will be averaging near Jirachi's number of plasm.

This gives me hope.
After someone shouted for Delve plasm farming lastnight and added DDs need Base Delve weapon or better a HUGE /yell war ensued so let's see if we can clear some of this up once and for all. I've hardly logged on over the past 3-4 weeks as I've been busy, started the day with 0 Plasm, KIs etc. I'm a warrior and have a 99Ukon.
That day an LS member said there was a shout I should attend for a Delve KI I'll need, so I did, took us a couple of attempts but we killed the moth, I then saw a plasm farming shout and joined it.
Coming back to the game within 4 hours I have a KI and 4.4k Plasm.
2 hours later a person I'm familiar with and respect as a player shouts for Delve Plasm farming adding Delve weapon DDs only (or words to that effect) I ask if he can sneak a 99 Ukon War in and he says "Sorry but it wouldn't be fair on the others :/ " He knows I'm a very good war as we've done plenty of things in the past, I know he also has a 99Ukon (and 99 Rag, Bravura etc etc) He assures me that at the moment the benfits of Delve weapons so greatly eclipse R/M/E that by taking Delve weapon DDs only they massively increase their farming productivity. I completely understand this and wish him well on his run.
Now cue the torrent of abuse via /sh "Just cos I don't have a delve weapon it doesn't mean I'm a bad player, fuck you retards" and so on it goes.
Apart from the people that had insta bruised ego from their relic not entitling them to top DD status anymore does anyone think it's genuinely unfair to say Delve weapon only? Without much time or effort I acquired 1/7 of a Delve weapon, I just can't farm with the big boys....yet
