Legendaries are gonna be like DMG:999 Delay: 1; the opposite of stage1 relics. And then you can upgrade them to DMG:9999 Delay:0.5 Everything (job traits/attributes/etc) +500

You wonder why? Ragwagon is dead and buried if these weapons exist...but it dies along with everything else. We lose all sense of individuality, instead we'll all end up as doppelgängers.
this is what everyone was saying when Perle Aurore and Teal Gear first came out.... we still have a few expansions to go, and im pretty sure E/M/R weapons will be given a huge boost in coming updates.
Your point is taken, but at that time the coming updates were adding 19 more levels to the game, and the transition from 75-99 was fairly well done. The game remained intact and SOME 75 content retained the need for groups, albet smaller than before.
These new weapons are akin to raising the level cap to 150 or such, but no increase is happening. Even assuming r/e/m weapons are put back on top, those will just be even more obscene. There SHOULDN'T be a weapon that shits on everything else, the idea of ffxi was that people had a degree of choice in how they played, but would still be able to compete. Currently that's looking to be obliterated.

Prices may tank if people who were sitting on a ton of currency decide to liquidate it, then come back to normal after Dynamis becomes a lonely reminder of what once was and the flow of currency slows down.

1) Lets invent a event that only a few players can do. This is ok i would say.
2) Invent good gear for this event. This is also fine.
3) Make it so most of the players that do this event cant upgrade the ***they have busted their *** for? This is what i dont understand.
Why would you make a event with amazing gear and leave R/M/E on the ***side AGAIN. WHY

Seems a bit crazy but just went through a few parse files and on most higher lv content I am doing about 1400 unstacked Exen 95 mandau with buff usually a cor or brd Attack bonus buff. I would think those numbers are extreme. Then again I do not stack it. MS how ever Stacked, about 3k which closely lines up with what XML says should be near avg. I would expect that 99 once I get it will only net about 200 more damage on Exen unstacked and maybe 500more damage stacked MS. I was thinking most my gear is optimal but I may have to recheck my higher content gear. as my highest spike on this lv content was 5k~ using AC + Bully with Full SATA.
EDIT, I know from page 2 I am just getting caught up.
