This is probably the dumbest and more ignorant statement I've read on here in awhile... Is it because they cost more? If that's the case then Relics must of been the "end all be all" at 75 when the Alexandrites were 2.5~5k huh?

So now I am debating just selling all my currency because i just started Mandau or keeping it hoping for a buff to R/M/E's :/

Should convince everyone on Odin to do so too, I wouldn't mind some dollar store relics because people want to flood the market ^^~.

I was going by the base damage, not the flavor stats on the weapon.

Do we Evan know how to get these new NMs to pop or where to find them? Do we know how tough they are and how many people it will take to bring them down? These weapons could be extremely annoying or tough to obtain, they might have a 1% drop rate for all we know. I doubt SE is going to bring new badass weapons into the game and make them easy to obtain.

Nonsense. The fact that any player could, with money acquired through months of (perhaps not terribly difficult) work, buy the best weapons in the game for whatever job they wish to play single-handedly kept the game alive for two years after Heroes of Abyssea. Do you really think Seekers of Level 99 Campaign is going to duplicate that kind of success?

Broz if they add another weapon its going to be like EMP or relic, i HIGHLY doubt there going to make an on par weapon to match mythics. it took how long just to get trials for them added? think about it. is a EMP better than mythic? *** now, is relic? *** no. if they intended to make a better weapon than the mythic EMP's would have been there start. done jabbering enjoy trolling douche.

Mythics aren't the best weapon in every case.... I don't know why you are assuming they are. Actually, to clear this up for you only 5 ish of the mythics are worth using majority of the time. And I see you're a SAM. If you think Kogar is the best weapon, go take a look at Amano + Yoichi in Legion and tell me you think Kogar is better.

If you're going to just spam exenterator, the new dagger looks pretty sick with that high base dmg and AGI+8, but it's only got 9 base damage over mandau at 99, and mandau gets a str modded ws, a 40% damage boost to said ws, and attack+40. yes, 9 damage is alot for a dagger, but i dunno if base damage alone is going to break most of the R/M/E currently in game. gotta look at the utility also.

I'd quit now dude, on some jobs, mythic is nothing more than a trophy piece. mnk & blu being 2 examples off the top of my head, but yeah, I'd stop if I were you, because you're not accurate.

Empyreans WERE in many cases better than mythics until the level 99 adjustment to mythic aftermaths.

In some cases, they may still be (Verethragna vs. Glanzfaust or Kannagi vs. Nagi, for starters)

They nerfed the living Tanakas out of Legion, I doubt it will be in SAM's interest to resort to odd tactics such as Amano+Yoichi any longer.

yes i should have clarified, not all mythics are even worth it, running on little sleep my bad. and yes, i know in legion how effective yoichi is, i hear alot about it.

Just stop posting. You obviously and ignorantly do not know what you're talking about. Every weapon has it's situational advantages over others, for most intents and purposes. Mythics are not the end all to be all.
Also you forgot to mention Umbral Marrows and 1,500 HMP plus 60 Rift Dross/Cinder to complete Relics and Empyreans; both of which aren't the easiest obstacles to overcome to actually complete building Relics/Empyreans.

Yea but exen is strong on it's own. That massive dmg increase on the new ***is gonna be tough to beat i think.

They fixed Nares.... So sad! I afk today with them on came back online still wearing them even after the update that fixed them removing blu. I am never takeing them off or changing job!! Going to wear nares on blu for life lol

Well, as a proud Bravura owner, I think it's all much ado about nothing. Just like everyone else, yeah, I want to be "the best," whatever that is. But many times, "this vs that" discussions end up as heated debates over very slight differences, and classing gear into, say, tiers rather than ranking every single piece relieves a lot of frustration.

And for the people that live for this kind of thing, this is a good thing - another opportunity to improve their character that much more.

Plus, I'd like to remind everyone about the reverse case: no marked upgrades. If that were the case, this thread would change "Back to the Future" photograph style into a very similar thread filled with people upset that there's nothing new to chase after. And while I get that people worked longer/harder for these weapons than most other things in game, it will still always come down to whether the effort is worth the reward: If you like one of the new shinies enough to go get it, then go get it! If you feel like you've put too much time into one slot for a single job already, don't. Be happy about what you have - or excited about what's next - and keep on having fun!

And don't forget, too, that almost no one is "done," ever. Leveling or focusing on different jobs happens to almost everyone, and this is just a chance to do something different this time.

If the DEVs are bored they can add Attack+50 to my Terpsichore, too.

This wouldn't be the first time an MMO outclasses legendary weapons. Aren't some of them in WoW useless, like Thunderfury? I have literally no idea, I've just seen it mentioned that with cap raises and everything in WoW the weapons were never upgradable or adjusted despite requiring a ton of work to make.
