Emps are hard?
You must have never been to old salvage getting anything just one armor piece can take over 200 runs. I would rather make an emp any day.

So these new weapons are not April fools joke I take it. Facepalm to all of us investing in Lv. 99 R/E/M? Seems kinda fishy to me.
I wouldn't say the GK beats Amano, but idk yet. Need people to math it out now I guess.

that GK has 12 more base damage and +8 more STR than amano
but amano has 2.5x multiplier and +40 acc
masamune has more str even at 90 and the 2x boost
i dont think its going to be better than relic/emp.
i think this weapon is meant for the lazy people who dont wanna make either of the listed above.

well think about history of adding new areas, Dyna > Relics, Aht Urghan > Mythics, Abyssea, SOA > ??? we all know there going to add another type weapon, nothing is going to top mythics, there the end all be all, all they can do now is add another weapon with new weaponskill that will be on par. people shouldn't be shocked, new content = new items.

Let's not be so cut and dry with this, ya? I'm gonna have to ask the math guys to see if they can math out pup's KKK Vs the new super D h2h, and see what happens. It has a STAGGERING amount of dmg ahead of it, so idk if the OaT is gonna do it, along with the pummel dmg. It's possible they are very close.

yes yes.."lolpup", but let's also consider the same for mnk, ya? These have stupid high dmg compared to both spharai AND vere. Shijin spiral is not a bad WS, by any means. Also let's consider the dagger as it stands to be better than at least the empy I would think.

I was with you on that until the end.. "don't know anything specific about them", meaning what? We can easily ascertain which boss they drop from, because of their ele resist bonus on them, and we know all of the stats on them. What's not to know?

Interesting. I love that there are still some 'wtf' things that SE puts certain jobs to when it makes no sense. *rushes off to find that dagger that SCH got, but looked plainly like DNC was supposed to be on it instead*
Also, DD probably need those new high numbers 'cause if casting a simple spell of Stoneskin after melee have engaged causes the monster to turn to the stoneskin caster... lol enmity adjustments.
Ya I'm loving on pet jobs when pet does bunch of dmg and i cast sneak or invis and mob turns to me.. I've died so many times on smn because this now..

I don't care about whether R/M/E remain the best or not but that is not what SE said. This is what they said.

That is not the same as saying they would ensure they are the best at all.

Mining is a ton easier now, saw a bunch on the front side of the reives and even got my marble in 1.5 stacks of pickaxes vs the 5+ stacks I wasted behind the first reive... x.x but yay its done haha.

By doing Reives and running around.. All I'm saying is that new weapons are altogether unnecessary and boosting existing ones would have been better.

I remember seeing a lot of this similar QQ about when they released Empy's and relic holders whining that their precious weapons were getting outclassed by something that didn't require millions of gil or an abusive linkshell to obtain. SE pulled through and Relic weapons eventually got the upgrades. They may not be the best but there is a definite....oh what is that word that got used a ***ton of times that everyone learned to hate.....oh yeah..BALANCE. It may take time to re-invent R/M/E to meet the higher standards of the player base but isn't that the whole point of an MMO? Give SE your money and time so they can dangle the carrot at the end of the fishing pole. Everyone should be used to this by now.

I think you're grasping because your first point was just so awful... Seriously, the expansion JUST hit the game, settle down on the content complaints because we just got a decent bit of it straight out of the gate. And to your "no JSE" comment. No job came out with af1/2/3 already in place. Not blu/cor/pup/dnc/sch/geo/run or any Zilart jobs to the best of my knowledge. That stuff is coming shortly anyways.

I know none of the previous jobs came out with any of their respective JSE, but no one can argue that things have changed. Jobs couldn't be burned to cap in one day, sure some hit the 75 cap rather quickly, but the average player took some time to get there and JSE seemed to be released at a better pace due to that. I'm not complaining about lack of content so much as the speed at which all these various weapons have been obtained and possibly obliterated. (If it's not 99 it will eventually be outclassed.)
