Tried the mamooks in front of mamook zone in wajoam, failed like 6 times, and my magic skill is cappe at 460. Zoned in, tried like 1-2 more times inside the zone and nothing.... WTH
It may take more than 8 tries?

who said im raging? im asking just to make sure its the right mamooks. All my spells have only taken like 2-3 tries tops. Especially at 460 magic skill farming a level 60ish skill.... Should be faster.

Look up the spell and see what mobs you can learn it from.
And gee idk, caps lock while making a thread about a spell you can't learn in 6 mobs seems ragey to me, and obviously to a couple others.

Get used to it, it's just the way it is with learning blue spells. Some you might get 1st time, others may take awhile. Took me almost a week to learn thunderbolt, even went through the entire behemoth family in a day trying to get it.

Pretty sure there are 2 firespit moves, one is physical and takes 4 shadows while the other ignores shadows but doesn't remove them. It's possible I'm wrong, but try WHM and BLM mamool.

Yes, try the WHM and BLM ones. I believe the others use it, but I never learned it from them. 1/72, and that was only counting how many times it was used. Just takes patience.

There are no 'right' mobs. It can be learned from any Mamool Ja that gives you exp, at exactly the same (completely random) chance. But yeah, just bad luck. Sounds like you've had a lot of good luck so far, so this seems worse than it actually is. :P

You must venture into the deepest, darkest corner of Mamook and find the toughest looking Mamool around. Kill it under the light of a full moon on Firesday while facing northwest.

The ToAU beastmen all have two variations, and each variation teaches only one of the two spells available from that mob family.
Only mage-type mamool will teach Firespit.

If you aren't sure, you shouldn't be saying that it's able to be learned from any mamool. :\
I might not be a "fully experienced" blu but thats nothing, try days or weeks without learning, then its madding. Otherwise suck it up and know that being a Blue Mage means there's a lot of Patience needed.

True enough, I'm not sure... but I'll admit that I'd be honestly surprised if it were true that you can't, considering all the things initially believed about learning blue magic that have been proven wrong over the years.
If you find me a credible report of someone learning firespit from a melee mamool, I'll transfer servers and give you all my gil.
