On the topic of Mythics, how useful would the 30% SA/TA damage on Vajra help as an off hand dagger for stacked Mercy or Reduras, and in general unstacked SA/TAs? Obviously the high delay and rest of dagger is being wasted, so can't see it ever being worth it just for that. Can't see it beating Mand/Twash. But was just wondering. Also I must be stupid if the bonus doesn't work on offhand, I have no clue and don't see that specified on any wikis.
you don't get any bonuses other than DMG and Delay of the weapon on your offhand iirc

SAM/DRK Not sure why Death Penalty's lack of mention is confusing anyone. It's comparatively horrible for anything other than killing something exclusively with Quick Draw.
It's the best looking weapon in the game though!

I've already finished runefencer mythic with my imagination.
That's how much I look forward to the job! If they do the 1h adjustments properly then "best" could change in the near future.

One of many reasons to worry less about pure power for a mythic, and more about what you enjoy playing. Everything in XI is cyclical (though much less so than it used to be, to be sure). Evertything is cyclical...except sam buffs.
Carnwenhan is very good, but only because I enjoy BRD, play it all the time, and have other gear to support it.
Ryunohige is pretty huge but I can readily say that it requires some skill and experience to use well and that I mess it up more than I care to admit. Burtgang: You will take less Physical dmg, but party/alliance members who aren't supposed to be taking any DMG, will take more DMG than necessary by pulling more hate often.
Score: +1 For PLD "did you see that? I survived and you all died. Screenshot" -1 For alliance/party. "wipe, we need more hate control. DD's need to hold back" Even spamming Atonment and achieving decreased enmity reduction isn't going to offset the loss of enmity generation you could be gaining by spaming other ws's. Score: -1 For PLD "man atonement sucks" -1 For Alliance/Party "he has a burtgang but we still died" Poor DPS in comparison to other swords, this sword is just a tutrtle tank's wet dream. If you want to reach the pinnacle of turtling, get Burtgang. If you want to be a better tank, start making use of your dmg output potential to hold adds, rather than turtling. You will find your whms taking hate much less often when you are itching away at the adds HP. Score: Burtgang PLD +2 "I can solo Nidhogg and Tiamat" Almace PLD +100 " We're in HoM, talk to you later?" "I don't understand this game's enmity system" would have taken substantially fewer keystrokes
Burtgang is pretty meh and sidegradey, but your explanation is horrific Yagrush, for the fundamental change in how the job functions.
