Bst Th1 Pet Gimp In Dynamis, Big Difference?

Seems to be the same on Fenrir. All dreamlands areas suck now, sticking to cities myself.

i've not noticed any difference. if anything, we're getting more cuz there's almost no one in the zones

Same, doing fine in Bubu solo, hardly anybody in zone.

Show me numbers i still yeild the same not seeing any dif in drops, still get the randoms with no proc and 2-4 with proc using dipper.

I was thinking more along Buburimu, which I prefer. Running the entire east coast(that avatar idol can be way SE), then running to the outpost if it wasnt up, is alot of time taken. Yes valkrum widescan is pretty useless.

Nope Enu, still lots of Jp's farming and now, parties of 6+ farming eps. Makes for a sad booch since I'm so close to being done with a my relic. Not to mention NA's love to steal proc'd mobs.

My observations so far on the TH nerf.

Pre-nerf Valkurm DC mobs; Treant > Funguar > Sheep rotation. 230-260 coins, 10-25 forgotten touches with minimal competition.

Post-nerf Valkurm DC mobs; same rotation 210-240 coins; 12-18 forgotten touches, minimal competition.

The nerf is noticeable but not enough for me to rage. I haven't done EP mobs since they introduced the forgotten items so maybe the TH nerf is more noticeable in those areas.

i use DY in bubu and still getting the same amount of coins. now the forgotens have droped a littler lighter. not sure about the af part seeing how i have kept all the peaces so i dont have to worry about them droping. happy hunting and remember we like the odds in your favor.

Just to throw in my own observations in reply to the OP . . .
I usually do Valkurm or Qufim & rarely use the EP mobs these days but when I do don't see any real drop or increase in currency from when I first started in Dynamis, however I thankfully have noticed I don't seem to get the same amount of relic gear or nm pop items either.
[I don't find any significant increase in Falcorr's damage output but must applaud the change of recipe for 'Lucky Broth'].
I like many others got fed-up with selfish greedy players grabbing all the EP mobs & so have started doing the DC mobs with much better results due to the mobs being DC & taking longer to kill, a much better return ! However, I have noticed that a lot more players, usually duo's are doing the same thing so that the DC mobs are now being over-camped, doh !
But what really matters is that there are no more solo greedy sods grabbing handfuls of mobs, ok you get 3-4 mobs in the EP area's & no real problem, however you get 3-4 DC mobs on you & it's a different question.
I'm a full-time Bst & would urge you not to take up the job just to make money, still you pay your subs each month so your choice, just giving my opinion.

How are you getting better results in a DC camp? I'm genuinely curious since the one time I tried it, I didn't like how much damage Yuly was taking and how slow the kills were. Is it just better compared to results from peak farming times?

Also, if people are hoarding 3-4 mobs during peak time, just yank em. You'll get some butthurt tells, but they're not entitled to every mob in the zone. And I say this as a BST main.

I use Falcorr on DC as like you I find Dipper didn't last very long, I reckon to use about 2 Falcorr & 6-8 Theta, I use C Clyvonne for the TE's along with Spurrer/Moepapa for haste & have found the 10 min TE's go down with 4-5 hits.
Drops from DC I find to be 4 items each proc, EP with proc 1-3 items & variable with relic items, ok DC take longer to kill but if you spam spur, use reverse flourish etc they don't really take that much longer.
I'll try do some testing next time & report back, all I know is that the greedy selfish twilight taru who will grab 3-4 EP did me a favour by pushing me onto the DC ! :)

All over this thread. Thanks guys. Been collection seals and plus2 items for months for my BST. Am at LVL 72. Going to be Dyna ready in a few days. Looking forward to using all your tips.

My 2 cents... I finished my excalibur literally 1 day b4 the update so really havent been back much, HOWEVER, its still a great place to make money and relics. It took me a little over 5 months to solo both of my relics, I'd wager it would take 3 months now to make 1 instead of 2, so not bad. I'm bst/dnc, valk on EP mobs 99% of the time. My main bst is a real bst, -pdt axes full +2 gear, gear swaps for ruinator the works, my mule is the perle bst we all hate to see :P

B4 the nerf, 220+ currency average solo, 5-8 touches, after the nerf 170+ currency average solo, 2-4 touches. So its still not to bad. And what someone said before about it not being crowded so much anymore is true too, no compitetion = faster kill speed and that seems to be the main factor anymore.

Numbers still sound good to me. Or at least better than what I can do on any of my other jobs solo.

Well just need the LVLs and go trade in my seals and items. Any clues to what the best pets are for Dyna?? I was told Dipper and Falcor

Edit: Dipper is ok if you're strapped for cash, but Faclorr with his newly enhanced 120 mins and attack are very nice and totally worth it.

Edit edit: For dyna, what's the best kinda bst set up? Was probably going to do the augmented haste/pdt hat and the augmented body (I think it was just attack?) 2x pdt axes and the pest haste belt and gear the rest for damage (af3, etc.) and get a good Ruinator set? Or would it be better to gear more for pet during my tp?

200+ currency including Forgotten as well in 2hrs, wow that is some going, on the assumption you kill only DC with a 100% proc rate/minimum 4 drops per kill it equates to over 6 DC mobs every 15 minutes & that's not taking into consideration time to get all 5 TE's & moving from area to area. Not impossible to achieve it would mean you could earn over a million gil every session, nice !
However, I'm less ambitious & like to take my time so aim for 100 currency & a few forgotten if I'm lucky . . .
I macro a set of Monster [relic] gear for proc, once I have proc'd I then macro in DD gear [2 x Astolfo's/Anwig/Ferine +2/Belenos' Mantle/Twilight or Anguinus belt/Epona-Raja Ring] then another macro for ws/ruinator [+STR Avant Mail/Aqua Gorget/Smilodon +1/Beir Belt/Flame-Raja Ring/Flame Sachet].

I hope this gives you some ideas & wish you all the very best in there, just 1 important final note, make sure you have a source of rr like a gorget or earring & don't allow yourself to get surrounded, even EP can give you problems !

Beside for Te's i use full dd gear, falcor is pretty strong now and last 120 min. I dont see any need for pet specific gear, i use onslaught so idk a good ruinator set.

I'm still getting a decent amount of coins - but have not really seen much of an attack/damage boost from falcorr. In fact I burn through double the pet food I used to, which to me, means he's either more squishy or has less evasion. No data to back it up, but I have run out of food a couple of runs before realizing I need more each run now.

I find about 30-50 coins less on average. Meh. Sucks, but we'll survive.

I am just burning to try out BST. I use to think it was a worthless job. But i have seen 3 people who are great at it and that changed my mind.I have been collecting seals and plus2 items for month prepareing for BST. But there is alot to learn on this job and you guys seem to know it very well. Would empy axe help with my speed of collecting coins?? Or should I go with pet DEF axes?? Which do you think would work for the best yeild of coins??
