Um, don't forget Firefox is a RAM hog, so in order to be "efficient", it needs to suck up more RAM. I've had Facebook up in two tabs in the same window, then I get RAM error messages.
I have like 40 extensions and an endless row of tabs atm and I'm using 360MB of 2GB RAM atm. I mean there's a variety of factors that go beyond RAM, but in my case it's pretty breezy without any slowdown. Process Tamer helps, though, which I totally plan to blog about in mere moments. lol
