is because I'd have to level up my mule to quest the scrolls and I'd have to borrow the equips from my brothers fiance...who is on break for WoW >.>

I like how FF is and rather keep the battle systems, etc. the way FF was always created and improved. Making it freely like WoW would kill it easy and ppl will just stay on ffxi and regret quitting too.

You only have to quest mage's ballad and lol others are npc or dropped from mobs all the time for bard :P

Yeah I'll get around to it...but I dont like the idea of walking my mule from Jueno to Sandy to level to 10...then from sandy to selbina...selbina to sandy.../shout for quest.

You still need to get fame in sandy either way. you gotta do a series of quests of teamwork. Everyone in PT to be from same nation, PT same job, and forget other.

There is nothing wrong to take some stuff from WoW

Doesn't turn the game INTO WoW now o.o!

Take the good and leave the bad out

Now take the Good from FFXI and leave the bad out

Add some difficulty

Tons of grinding

and you got FF14

Indeed. Sandy isn't made entirely of one-two colors like a certain place with a blue banner, and doesnt require u to pack an overnight back to go from one end to the other like that yellow town. Great place, yes it is.
