All of these things above annoyed me but worst of all was when i was trying to make dusk gloves....... Before the Tanner's ring.
Moogle law #1: No one sells cuir gloves ever.
Moogle law #2: You must hq 10 out of 12 cuir gloves synths.
(repeat this step 4-5 times)
Moogle law #3 Go craft some amemet mantles since it looks like t2/3 ***wants to hq, nq 10 amemet mantles.
Moogle law #4 Hq 7 out of 12 Tiger gloves, these are t1 (damn it)
(repeat this step 4-5 times)
Moogle law #5 Nq 12 dusk gloves.
Step 6 punch a baby.

Moogle's Law:If you are one of the following jobs;
Puppetmaster
Dragoon
Beastmaster
Dark Knight
Paladin
Scholar
Red Mage
Ranger
Summoner
You will be laughed at and called "a dead job." While as if you are one of the following jobs;
Warrior
Monk
Thief
White Mage
Black Mage
Bard
Samurai
Ninja
Blue Mage
Corsair
Dancer
The first mistake you make, regardless of how small it is, will cause all around you to accuse you of burning the job to be bandwagon and that you have no clue how to play it despite your playtime.

Eh, their songs are still handy for zerging stuff. COR isn't dead because it's the best support-role job to toss in with Melees in Voidwatch. Use Tactican's Roll so melees can stay outta range while waiting on TP to get to 100% (assuming no TP wings are ready.) And DNC can solo like anything ever that doesn't require 3+ pop items/killing Jailer of Love to spawn.

Your opinion/reasoning is flawed then. You can use the same thing for pld and bst. Pld is the best tank in Voidwatch in most cases. And Beast is used to solo all sorts of ***outside and inside abyssea. I can't tell you how many bsts go in dyna /dnc to get currency.

/facepalm. In the eye of the general populace, people will not take "dead jobs" except for a few of these one or two events these "dead jobs" are actually needed. The general populace of XI is all Abyssea'd right now, even with Voidwatch. Everyone seems to consider Abyssea as the main event to do for any situation. That's what I was trying to get at. But yes, if we look outside of abyssea and at Voidwatch, no job is really dead except RDM PUP and, after the Helix spells are lowered, SCH. (Because Modus Vertias will always wiff. :<)
(Unless you're going to zerg a lower level VWNM just for clear. In which case, Embrava and Perfect Defense are welcomed.)

If by abyssea then yes bst still is not on the dead job list. Cor doesn't get used in abyssea unless brewing something. So that is on the dead list as well. Brd ... well that's dead cause blm/brd can do it all for ya.

Okay okay, obviously it was wrong of me to make one list. We obviously need multiple lists; one for every event...
Yeah, you go do that. I'm just going to ignore the lists anyway and play what I like.
That's what the joke was. That it shouldn't matter what people say is a dead job. Play what you want. If you play it right, people won't give a ***95% of the time what job you are. The last 5% is divded into 3% requiring you to be another job for an event because it fills a certain role better than your favorite job(s). The last 2% are douchebags that want to stroke their internet go by insulting you.

Over exaggeration a little... yeah true. But a huge number are. How many purple/brown/twilight belt mnks are there. How many 75 mnks that took the job seriously was there before abyssea? How many of those mnks had chi blast builds... like legit ones. How many ninjas did you see in general ever? White mages there were a lot sure, how many more appeared though after abyssea? Thfs... you never saw to many thfs cause you couldn't get a pty to save your life. Blms were hard to come by for a lot of events. And good ones at that. Ik a few corsairs not many. Dancers I saw pick up after abyssea too.

FINAL FANTASY XI Moogle's Law Contest!
We're pleased to announce the first-ever Moogle's Law Contest! Throughout the years, we're sure adventurers all around Vana'diel have experienced certain "phenomena" that just seem to happen at the worst possible times. Think of the times when sneak and invisible start to wear off at exactly the wrong moment… Or when you're about to make a clean pull in Dynamis and a statue happens to cross your path…
To enter, all you need to do is come up with your own example of a "Moogle's Law"-type of scenario and post it on the forums! The Community Team will select three winners and award them with the coveted Nomad Moogle Statue in-game item, as well as the prestige of tweeting their "laws" from the official FINAL FANTASY XI Twitter account.
Speaking of the Nomad Moogle Statue, this is it in all its glory!

And to help get your creative juices flowing, the Community Team has come up with a few examples!
Camate: If you just ate 3-hour food, you're going to be KO'd in your first fight.
Rukkirii: Whenever you cast invisible and sneak, they will always wear off in the middle of a group of monsters aggressive to magic.
Bayohne: When rushing to an LS event, you're guaranteed to have forgotten to change from your BLM support job.
Hvinire: Someone will always forget they left their orb in storage until they arrive at the BCNM.
Have fun with your entries, we can't wait to read them!
