FINAL FANTASY XI Moogle's Law Contest!
We're pleased to announce the first-ever Moogle's Law Contest! Throughout the years, we're sure adventurers all around Vana'diel have experienced certain "phenomena" that just seem to happen at the worst possible times. Think of the times when sneak and invisible start to wear off at exactly the wrong moment… Or when you're about to make a clean pull in Dynamis and a statue happens to cross your path…
To enter, all you need to do is come up with your own example of a "Moogle's Law"-type of scenario and post it on the forums! The Community Team will select three winners and award them with the coveted Nomad Moogle Statue in-game item, as well as the prestige of tweeting their "laws" from the official FINAL FANTASY XI Twitter account.
Speaking of the Nomad Moogle Statue, this is it in all its glory!

And to help get your creative juices flowing, the Community Team has come up with a few examples!
Camate: If you just ate 3-hour food, you're going to be KO'd in your first fight.
Rukkirii: Whenever you cast invisible and sneak, they will always wear off in the middle of a group of monsters aggressive to magic.
Bayohne: When rushing to an LS event, you're guaranteed to have forgotten to change from your BLM support job.
Hvinire: Someone will always forget they left their orb in storage until they arrive at the BCNM.
Have fun with your entries, we can't wait to read them!

Personally did something from my own experience:
You finally get Saber Shoot when you already had Opal Silk.
It's three hours after conquest tally, you must wait a whole week to get Ebisu.

Moogle Law #1: If you are out claimed on a Notorious Monster, the claimer is obviously using third party tools.

Don't sleep for a week so you can work and camp NM's. Miss 1 pop due to powernap, your stuff drops and hits the floor.
Put something awesome on AH at 25k under the current price, the price will drop 150k overnight.
EDIT:

The best thing about that is the NPC's still standing there to tell you they aren't open >_>

Oh I got one... And this legit happened to me. Wait many many many runs in old-style dynamis for sch hat in Xar, being the only sch in the shell. One night you DC for 15m at the end of a run, it drops and hits the floor. You come back only to find somebody got it and is now gloating their level 0 sch has the hat you've wanted for so long...

Whenever a LSmate asks for me to come proc something in abyssea I rush out with good intentions, but the maw blackscreens my Ps3. Seeing as Cavernous Maws, Runic Portals, Einherjar, Besieged, Op & WG warp npcs, and Storyline cut scenes are a 50/50 proposition at best when using it.

Always use Dia. It keeps ticking even when you don't.
Based on a true story years ago while doing one of the promy fights. Everyone was dead except for a nin and me on whm. I had enough MP to cast Banish, Dia, or Cure before the nin died then me shortly after. I chose Dia, we wiped. Next thing I knew, we were being told we won the fight, lol.
