Trying to do this breeding thing for IVs but I am having a terrible time of it.

Okay so... I have a Lucario that is 4/6 and a Ditto with 2/6 with the missing 2 stats. If I breed them and put a destiny knot on Lucario does that mean it will always be getting at least 1 of the crappy stats since it says it carries over 5?

Ah okay, I thought it was related just to who had it equipped @_@
No but not having an Everstone on of the pokemon means your nature is going to randomly change instead of being locked on the one you want.

Yeah I haven't even gotten a nature I want yet, I was hoping to get lucky with that part >.>
Well unless you're running a mixed sweeper lucario (don't,) you only need 5/6. So you can use a power item on the ditto to force the stat you need, and try to get a 3/6+ lucario of the opposite gender, when you do, replace the ditto and use destiny knot.
Ah, I am not really running any things right now. Really this is just my first time trying to breed pokemon and Lucario is my favorite >.>;;
Once I figure the system out I will work on learning some of the battling strategies. I am really a pokemon noob as far as battling other players go. The most strategy I have ever used in pokemon has been to have elements to kill gym leaders >.>

best way to get into it is to pick something you want to use, and build your team around it.
