First Merge Impressions?

I'm one of you now

I thought it was fine, very laggy as most people mentioned,
met about 20 people from Hades, all were nice, and pleasant, angry over leaving, but understandable, so was fun to welcome them, and even manaburned with a few.

I got to try and help some new strangers fight one of the new NMs, we all died, btw. >.>

I've noticed that sylphs don't like wg shout convos, what a bunch of unsociable peoplez. :p

There are too many shouts now :/

That's why I never enter laggate unless I have to XD Normally see 5~6 HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE people shouting across the zone. I've seen a few people I've never met before, talked to a couple of them and they seem nice to me =)

Overall, I'm pretty optimistic about what this is going to do for both sides in the next few weeks!

As far as the shouts go, I meant volume-wise. That and I've never see so many JP shouts

I feel more or less at home, it's just a little odd not recognizing a few names and especially all the LS colours have changed

So far my transfer to Lak has been fine. Everyone that I have met and interacted with have been nice and responsive. Only real thing I've noticed was that lakshmi doesn't like wg shouts and conversations. I think the quote is "You garuda people don't know when to stfu" which I found funny.

What merger?

^ Everything he said. I'm personally going to give it time to calm down. No need to make early judgements or rash decisions. I'm not going to change my playing habits at all. I personally am looking forward to meeting new people and not having entire zones be empty. Also like Rylis said, alot of people are just getting on right after an update to see all the new additions. So there is a bit of a boom in population that I think will die down slightly. Sure maybe campaign zones and such may be a little full for a while. But it shouldn't be a problem for too long.
I personally love starting large conversations and discussions via /sh in WG.:P They can be quite informative and entertaining. I got on at 3:30am EST and there were maybe 2.4-2.6k people online and maybe 340ish in WG. I didn't see anything unusual going on or arguing. I am hoping there will be more people to do things with and become friends with.

The pointless and super annoying shouting prolly won't end for a few months... I swear walking in Whitegate makes me lose IQ. We get a lot of Our Server > Your Server shouts, which are highly annoying. But nothings more annoying then the new Casino Bismarck was introduced to...

We haven't had someone shout for casinos in a really; really long time.

I look forward to meeting new people but I'm avoiding it for the time being until ***settles down.

You met me! WG is known for stupid shouts even before the merge, at least thats what I've heard from people even on other servers >< I haven't been on much today, to see how anything else may have changed.

There's a difference between stupid shouts and annoying as *** shouts. ^^;

15 minutes is enough to make my brain no longer exist... I move from Whitegate>Jeuno as soon as possible... I cry when I have to stop and get a silver peice :(

Us either (2-3 years ago maybe, but since then only rarely would someone try to run one... but only in Jeuno). Right now I'm embarrassed every time I see a familiar Seraph name running one in Whitegate, I have maybe only seen that a handful of times before the merge. O|¯|_

I'd say before the merge we only had 1/3 or 1/4 of the total shouts going on right now, depending on whether someone obliviously obnoxious was spamming or not - usually only teleport/retrace, pick-up parties for missions/events/xxNMs, etc., and a fraction of the total LS recruitment shouts there are now.

I'm only aware of a few particular individuals who used to shout (and apparently still do, another member of my linkshell laughed at one who was trying to recruit and was a notoriously bad player on Seraph) for their social linkshell recruitment semi-regularly, it was mostly end-game/other event linkshells as far as I recall. They did have these annoying 3-5 line recruitment shouts, though. =_=;

I've met a few cool peeps. I heard Remora does Nyzul drops in a very separate way Leviathan does theirs, though.

You guys have been very nice too on Valefor :) I really felt welcome seeing everyone shouting in WG welcoming us into our new home!

I <3 the merge! I'll deal with some stupid lag if it means making new friends and having more people to deal with. I've already made several new friends from Hades. Also, Tudds in WG makes me lol.

Some guy got mad at me cause i responded to his shout, and said thats not the way we do things in Bismarck.

I offered to hold for his smn burn for 500K what was the going rate bk on seraph.

I think the merge is a good time to say "it's not about doing things 'our' way or 'your' way. It's a new world. Everyone needs to work together. Hades ppl are no different from Cerb ppl, are no different from Bismark are no different from Sylph. Everyone needs to get over the mine/ours attitude and just welcome each other or go play FFXIV. Just sayin.
