Possibly missed it because the topic was for post 90's cartoons but everyone is posting 90's cartoons at this point. Loved watching Freakazoid in the 90's though. Echoing Venture Bros. so *** much.
Incredible show and probably one of the best examples of character development in what is otherwise a parody/comedy. Incredible to the point where it's relatively expensive to produce (that's just how non-Flash animation is, and even then...) so we don't quite see as many shows on the same level. Plus I love how they run with characters they name-dropped in earlier episodes. Captain Sunshine was referenced back as far as Season 2's first episode iirc Seraph.Pikachu said: Phoenix.Ingraham said: "Best post-90s cartoon evar?" ![]() who is this guy from the show is on the tip of my tongue Can I put something that's out now, as a post 90s cartoon? Cuz it is post 90s. :P But I like Transformers Prime. Best Transformers show since Beast Wars.

Captain Sunshine was referenced back as far as Season 2's first episode iirc That's one of my favorite things about Venture. It has a sense of Continuity without getting in the way of the show. The opposite is Frisky Dingo, where the show builds on itself, and references itself so much, if you miss one or two episodes, you might be lost to a percentage of the humor for the rest of the airing. Even things like Val trying to Kill Killface is only ever explained in the first goddamn episode (one of the greatest 11minutes on Television though).
