Level Sync (Weapon SKill Points)

What if your sync down below the weapons level for example having Destroyers and syncing down to level 70 , do you still get weapon skill points that goes toward the weapon ?

You do not gain any points unless you are within the level bounds of said trial weapon. Your weapon skill will be capped below that which is needed to obtain it.

I dont believe so... though I'm too lazy to use the WeaponChecker to find out for sure since I already finished Atonement.

I synced to 73 and was still getting points on my Radiant Lance, doesn't really confirm much as they are still EXP giving mobs to a 75 so you'd get points off them, but according to wiki you do still get points in any sync pt, can't confirm it though.

It would only make sense to get points if you were able to equip the item... so 75=/> would be logical.

I agree that due to the fact you need to be 75 to equip it it would still make sense that they work properly.

Also as for ast update i remember note stating special conditons for latent/hidden effects, knowing that the "base" is that special effects do not come to effect level syncing bellow (i.e. no lower evasion on Dark Mezraq).

btw if someon with runic key (not like me i need 7k ws for Rana) would be so kinf to try and make those 250 points syncing under 50 (lazy to check where EP limit is to 75 but around 55-610) and post results.

hmmm pretty hard to say which is right n stuff but i talked to gm about it n they have no clue either thought to try the forum out. thanks guys

if i helps at all. i got Trial GK @71SAM. level sync'd to 65 no WS points prior. dinged 73 almost 74 by parties end and my Trial GK was broken. Tachi: Kasha mine. too easy. now to go skill up to catch up =p

shame on you for using trial weapon in exp.

I got most of my ws points in a sync pt below 70.

Synched pts are gimped to start with. Don't think they'll notice a difference unless you bought all the gear for that level.

I can confirm, I did break my Destroyers in a level 70 sync party. (I know, I know.. but it was a bad party anyway, the BLU was in full AF using trial weapon..)

It doesn't seem like something SE would allow, oversight or not, apparently they have.

so i suppose you do get weapon skill points event at a lower level than the specific weapon this will make nyzul weapons easier to get points then. thank you guys

umm...

1. Download WeaponChecker
2. gear up and level sync yourself into a crappy party
3. do a weaponskill with your crappy trial weapon
4. zone and run WeaponChecker and see if it gave you any points

pretty simple... I'm just too *** lazy to try it out since I already broken every latent I have a weapon for, and thus, no reason to waste my time doing this.

I know I cant be the only person who has WeaponChecker...

Thats the method I used, and yes, I can confirm 100% it does work, got 200 points towards Drakesbane yesterday in a lvl 55 party.

Edit: Well this definitively proves to me that you cannot get points in Campaign. I've only every swung my Sturdy Axe in Campaign Battles, but it's listed at 0 points. T.T
