When I was in high school I was asked out by a guy who taped a piece of paper saying "Will you go out with me?" to a taco bell hot sauce packet.
...
oh, wait.. you said most romantic..

Romanace is just an inbalance of hormones mixed with personal preference of a mate.
Romanace is probably the most useless and dangerious emotion a human can experience. It has lead to more deaths than any other emotion, and can cause strife among any and all people in the world.
Just throwing that out there.
Greed caused more, no question about it.
Romance is a courting ritual; albeit probably the most advanced one in the animal kingdom.
Even if you acknowledge the scientifics of it you can still understand that it exists; no need to be such a buzz kill. Emotions are legit, even if they are simple pulses/chemicals.
No real most romantic thing, I'm just the sort that does those little things at the most needed times. Like, she's having a bad week, so I baked her brownies. We'll celebrate things over lunch together. I help her out a lot when she's overswamped.
It's the little things, with the perfect timing, that--in my opinion--make normal things I do become terribly romantic.

Most fights aren't about greed, but love. Males vs Males over a Female's body. Wars have been fought because of the "love" of a woman.
I didn't say emotions aren't legit (thats a different topic) but I did say romance is the most useless one. You gain nothing but disappointment 95% of the time, because the person you "love" requires you to change to meet their needs, and you require them to change to meet your needs. Neither one of you are going to change, so fights happen, people get divorced, or people cheat on others. What you really felt, what you didn't understand, is that love is nothing more than a set of hormones that make your *** bigger when you see somebody you are attracted to. You go into a mating ritual where you hope to sleep with the person you wish to mate with, and if you like what you have, you "marry" it until it no longer suits your needs, when you "divorce" it or find another outlet to satisfy your needs with.
Nah, it was just relevant and maybe something to think about if you keep an open mind to it. Honestly, if you really wanna be with someone for whatever reason, be it love, "love", or reproduction, there's gotta be at least one thing someone has done that may be considered "sweet"/romantic to show you do in fact care about them.
Unless said person has become so jaded or just an *** that doesn't care about anyone but themselves.
You only show compassion when you want something in return.
People get that confused with "love."
They hold on to the illusion where people actually care for them, but in short all people want from you is to use you and, when you become useless, toss you aside like a used ragdoll.
If you keep lying to yourself thinking somebody somewhere loves you truly, you will forever find yourself in misery.
Nobody loves you now, nobody loves you back then, nobody will love you in the future. Realize that, and maybe you will understand human nature a little better.
That's the most perfect way to justify going through life miserably. In fact, it sounds a lot like denial.
Who said my life is miserable?
I enjoy my life, because I'm not fooled by others, and when I can figure out how to bypass my ethics enough to take over the world ethically, then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
You would all be working in my diamond mines tbh.

I feel like I also need to elaborate. You say that stuff to either fit some "manly" stereotype because showing love or compassion is a stigma for weakness, or you act like you're a human of elevated intelligence and privvy to the secrets of knowing humanity by disproving love.
Either way, its ***. lol
I'm not fooled by emotions. I know what people really want, thats not elevated intelligence, thats observation.
Thats not ***.
If you think about what I said, and use people as an example, you would see that everything I said is true, so true it hurts. People divorce every day. People cheat every day. People who say they love one another today will look elsewhere tomorrow.
Only logical explanation would be so they could get something from them, being sex, money, or personal belongings.
KORPG is obviously a rationalist, and one who relies far too much on his head rather than his heart.
There is nothing wrong with rationalism but don't start to think for a second that everyone else thinks the same way. Those of us who are idealists, romantics, and guardians feel very differently about those... hormones and that need to reproduce than you do.
My mother and father may have gotten together because all those chemical reactions inside their body and their hormones may have made them want to, but they think differently than you. They've over 50 now, both of them, and still madly in love. My mother can barely stand living a day without him when he leaves town. What my mother really wants is my dad, and what my dad really wants is her, there are no secondary objectives with them, they simply got together because they fell in love.
I'd tell you to quit trying to think your head so much, but it's obvious you won't listen. For a rationalist, you certainly are a close-minded one.
You're not willing to learn; it's very easy to see that.
Besides, why should I recite an entire college course so you could try and dismiss it because you disagree?
Its not that I'm not willing to learn, its that I know that subject is false, and only for the hopeful.
There are so many examples of human nature against that method of thought that its not funny.

Good for your parents. They are obviously outside of social norms when it comes to the treatment of their emotions.
Oddities do happen.
And what is wrong with being rational? You make it sound like its a bad thing. Humanity has claimed to be rational since it has first started to think. Whats wrong with that?
People find themselves in a situation where they have to lie (either to themselves or to others) on a daily basis. Why not understand why you lie and if you wish to correct it, then correct it. I thought our main goal is to evolve into something better than what we are now. Why do you wish to stay in this mindset, when we can learn from ourselves and move on?

Do you even know what Romance Philology is?
I thought it was obvious that I wouldn't know anything about this subject. I would guess it had something to do with Romance, which it on itself a useless subject.
So I wouldn't need to know anything about it to prove it false.

You're trying so hard that it almost hurts me to say this:
You're totally *** wrong, so shut up and stop pretending to be a know it all.
I never said being a rational was wrong. Rationals tend to be the most intelligent and quick-minded individuals in our society. They analyze the now, what's in front of them, the material and physical world... but at the same time that is a weakness. Few rationals are capable of looking beyond this however. They can not easily grasp the concept of energies, emotions, inspirations, and love. A friend of mine is a rationalists, one of the most respectable friends I have. His mind can be spread over multiple subjects at all times and easily have a strong grasp on all of them at all times. While his mind is strong, he has trouble with subjects relating to the heart. He is in love but he does not know how to express love like I could or understand how she feels like I can either. He isn't able to look inside another and just know what it is they feel.
He analyzes love a lot like you do, but one thing he has learned from his relationship is that, there is more to it then just chemical reactions and that tight feeling in his pants. Humans may be animals but many of us don't chase love simply because we wish to procreate anymore.
Love isn't as hopeless as you think it is. It's all around and it works out a lot. I love my parents, they love me back, and they love each other. I love my friends, and... while they wouldn't say it to my face, they love me. Love isn't just that instance between two people who want to make babies together, it's all around, and it works.
The fake rose thing sounds cool, if it weren't for the fact that I read that exact same story, message and all like 1000 times in all those old Myspace bulletins containing some sweet story of love. There's lots of cool and sweet things your friend could do, but I think originality would be one key factor.
One time,
I got home, there was a sammich waiting for me and a BJ to follow.
Most romantic moment of my life, my tummy was full and my balls were empty.

Okay so - the story goes, a friend of mine has decided it is time for him to get married - he is planning to propose at the start of the new year, now he asked me 'cute, romantic or sweet ways' in which he could do it. Now when he told me, the first thing that came to me was 12 years, 12 roses, then it hit me.
My plan was for him to buy 12 roses (one for every year they have been together so far) and replace one of the roses with a fake/plastic one, he could then add a message saying 'I will love you till the last rose dies; will you marry me.'
This is probably the most romantic gesture i have ever thought of, i know kinda stupid really - if you've got any ideas, or wanna share a story, please do (:
Yes, before anyone decides to mention it i know this is a gaming forum don't both posting unless you have something nice to comment on.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year
