Yes, the cap I can carry is 153k so far. It has been asked if a cap on the cap has been found so I offered an update.
I generally save to 100k and then update an entire set now. That just makes updating my gear sets easier. I was wondering on the cap. So far no limit it seems.
Maybe with +5s the limit will be increased to 10 billion points like Sortie's was (it's not actually 10 billion before general autism kicks in and wants to correct me). Does seem better to save up to 100k or so and spend on a set/partial set you want. 100m cap on galli after update

If looking to do this content solo with three trusts, do you recommend setting the level to 119 or 130?
It depends on how fast you can kill, what job you are on, and if you value total overall units or just getting KIs to open a box. When I play a heavy DD like DNC DRK SAM etc, I can destroy the 130 mobs fairly quickly solo, though links in temenos can often get me killed, which takes longer to recover/zone/get back up to speed. However, because I lack time to do this often, when solo I generally 119, and since nothing can kill me on 119, just clear floors and get my box and be done with it. It gives less overall units, but the big reward is the box and hitting the ??? along the way. You just have to decide what is more important to you in the long run.
Honestly depends how quick you can get through each run at each CL. I tried doing a Temenos run at 119 to get through faster, but I found that most of the time was spent running around and dealing with teleports, I wound up saving 5 minutes for a fraction of the units. But I also 6box, and a soloer will likely have a different outlook.
I'd start somewhere around 122 and work your way up or down depending how the run goes. Note how long it took to get all the temps to pop chest and how many units you got. Make sure to count chest as 3k every time, as theres no known rhyme or reason to the extra 2k bonus. Apollyon is more solo friendly as the mobs are generally not in forced link range (though not inevitable), but Temenos mobs all come in packs of 5 and its rather difficult to get clean pulls, especially on sound aggro targets. They've not said anything about +5s yet have they.
Can someone confirm that you not just lose all KIs after opening a chest but also any bar progress you made towards a second KI?
Farmed 1 full bar and then a second right to the point another mob would fill it in both apollyon and temenos and I think my progress got wiped when I opened the chest. Seems like you don't get any units until you fill the bar so I didn't just lose out on the second batch of KIs but didn't get any units for the second round I filled the bar to 90%. I know some groups used to clear Temenos then pop chest then farm last floor KI again so next run they can just run to the box. They always did that after popping the box though, not before.
Is it just me or is limbus a very boring event, maybe even the most boring if we don't count stuff like chocobo digging?

Funny because its like most other content in the game such as Dyna D, Odyssey Segment runs and Omen. The one thing its missing is NM... till this next update. Is there any confirmed duration of when I can get ??? next? Did both zones yesterday - can I not get it again now until it moves or can I get it after jp midnight or what?

Stuff like blood aggro, true sight mobs, excessive linking or enemies that can charm prevent just mouth breathing thru it. It's also very grindy. Imho we didn't need another grind fest like that when there already are several other dailies with declining KIs. If they just made us grind 1 instead of all 4 of the cardinal directions to pop a chest it would have been more bearable. The good thing is there's no time limits you can go anytime, pickup anyone else along the way, farm as much or as little as you want.
Issue is yes, it's very grindy atm and if you're in a group they'll want to finish all the floors to get a chest and that'll take over an hour. Hoping NMs give a ton of points on top of w/e else. I only read about random spawns that leave the ??? behind if killed.
Also they would have been better off using the original emptieness and the al'taieu theme or something like that, the BCNM music doesn't fit the event at all. |
