How could SE realistically improve modern FFXI?
He still doesnt get it lol

He's just yapping for the sake of yapping at this point. Even attempting to argue against people wanting to min max and play as efficiently as possible is just bait.

I wonder who the real loser is at the end of the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF7ouCjSPB4 "You're ***' edgy and cool. Yeah! You're the coolest ***' guy (on FFXIAH)! WHOOO! That's like being the smartest kid with Down syndrome!" (But keep thinking you're not though; here's a gold star for having the most posts on the forum.) (inb4 he brings up post count comments cause he has nothing better to do with his time than post over 17,000 comments here) I picture it more like this myself YouTube Video Placeholder Ranoutofspace said: » > hasn't attempted content past Valkurm Dunes > looks down on people actually playing the game, but obsessively posts on forum Lol this totally reminded me of the old allakhazam forums. Cram full of people who, after playing for years, were only level 50 and spent all their time on the forums berating those who play the game. Ranoutofspace said: » "You're ***' edgy and cool. Yeah! Not speaking about Eiryl but there are and always will be folks who cannot move forward in their lives without social validation. "I care what random people on the internet think of me". And I see this on just about every forum I post on... which is several. they should make us able to skill up our subjob's magic skill on our main job
that seems like a great idea that they could easily implement ... Sorry to say this: Not a complete and total pay-to-win, but Microtransactions, just good enough to get over bumps that people with varying degrees of abilities may have trouble...
I quit playing because I find myself completely and totally unable to do Assault... If I knew I could pay 75 crysta (US $0.75) to skip over each one of the 50 assaults, I'd come back... As I believe some people here already know: I am Bill. I have (for all intents and purposes) have volunteered myself to be a case study. I am learning disabled. I have been in remedial-tracked classes my entire educational life. I started playing Final Fantasy XI Online on Friday, March 1, 2013. I started with an unused PlayStation2 (PS2) license code that I found for $5.00 at the Joe Koch Comic Book Warehouse, in Brooklyn, New York. I started by installing the Windows PC version of the PlayOnline client software. I then created a Square-Enix account and registered the code that he found in Brooklyn. After that, he was able to delve into the massive realm that is Final Fantasy XI Online. At the time of this publication, I am 54 years old. I, graduating from High School in June of 1989, was in the last class of students that did not have to take The New York State Regents Examination to obtain my High School Diploma. Just before graduation, The Powers That Be – the powers that existed within the realm of academia at that time - advised me and my parents that I should not take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The Powers That Be told my parents an I that taking and failing the SAT would only be a source of unnecessary frustration… Because SAT test scores were not required, I decided to go to the community college, in Loch Sheldrake, NY. The community college had its own, internal minimal skills test in mathematics. 75% of that math test was in fractional form and required a score of 75 to pass. Over the course of 2½ years, I took the test three times and failed it all three times. Therefore, Bill did not graduate from the community college. As some here already know from my past posts: I have already clearly admitted to being guilty of the following transgression against the game’s Community of Players: Although I have been playing the game – more or less consistently - since March 1, 2013; my ability to play the game is poor. Through how unmercifully I have lambasted, The Community of Players has made it clear that they are quite astonished by such poor quality game play from someone that has been playing for so long. To the best of my memory, not even our "beloved" atom0s has clean hands in this matter... If people here search through both his postings and mine (I don't know how to don't it) you should see that even he as been particularly cruel to me... billnes said: » Sorry to say this: Not a complete and total pay-to-win, but Microtransactions, just good enough to get over bumps that people with varying degrees of abilities may have trouble... If you want a mythic weapon, but don't want to do the work for it, what's the difference between paying SE $37.5 and just using a third party tool, or paying some in-game merc to do assaults for you? If you're not doing the work for the item either way, who cares how you get it done, it's not like you earned it either way? If you worked for the money and then used it to pay for assaults, would you say you earned your weapon? Same go for RMT? Well, I worked really hard at my job so I could buy gil to use to pay for FFXI gear, so I earned that gear? I don't get it. Just cheat through the assaults man, it's fine. As far as your initial assertion though, assuming this isn't some weird troll post or copy-pasta: nobody is bad enough at FFXI that they can't beat (most of) the assaults. Like...killing 50 rabbits that die in 2 hits? Killing 20 wamouracampa in 30 minutes? Solidly 90% of the assaults are braindead-simple and require no ability to play the game. I'm extremely confident I could do most of the assaults with my feet. If you get stuck on the last 5~10 that are "difficult" then just ask someone to help you, for gil, as a favor, out of pity, or whatever. If you come to Carbuncle I will do any assault you want for you. They're extremely low effort, simple tasks that take no time. Billnes's problem, as it has always been, is that he can't get out of his own way. No one dislikes you because you are disabled Bill, we dislike you because you're stubborn and refuse to listen to what people tell you.
Just ASE and speedhack them np
Is 2025 the year everyone confesses to their disabilities on FFXIAH dot com?

EDIT: To clarify my first post, when I say "we" I mean the server Ragnarok. There is a reason why Bill has such a hard time getting help, and it's not because we're all discriminating against him due to his disability. It's because he's burned through the good will of an entire server. If he is having shout conversations then people are engaging with him so they can't hate him that much.
Everyone just blists people on Asura. One thing they could do which I doubt many people would argue against is removing game day waits for a variety of things. Turning in gear, missions, quests, whatever the reasons are, they are simply just a time sink at this stage in the game. I do recognize that mission/quest related ones would require more effort to change, and mostly, people are only doing those once.
additionally, making dynamis D shard sellable to npcs. many shells have such a surplus of shards that no one needs, and dropping them seems like such a waste. Removing the AF/relic/empyrean 1 game day wait from npc in port jeuno is needed.

I feel like it's absurd at this point that people have to be reminded that not every server is like Asura, and not every server is a sea of RMT spam. Smaller servers actually allow you to read things. Tarage said: » K123 said: » If he is having shout conversations then people are engaging with him so they can't hate him that much. Smaller servers actually allow you to read things. A conversation takes two people. If he is having shout conversations, people are engaging with him. Also, I think what you mean to say is "My server is so empty and nothing is happening that we are all so bored we don't blist him and converse with him in shout for some entertainment on our dead boring server" This furthers my belief that engaging with people who only know Asura is a mistake.
K123 said: » My life is so empty and nothing is happening that I engage in every topic Don't cheat as some are saying.
Just move to Asura, you can farm gil and pay mercs to do pretty much anything. Including assaults. K123 said: » Just ASE and speedhack them np otherwise, Gameday waits are annoying but it is what it is. but the 6-7mo timelock for ergon weapons is ridiculous. I did audits assaults as they came out. Great challenge and a great time in FFXI. Probably still the pinnacle era.
