.33 seconds with 18 SCHs. Unlikely, maybe. Hard, maybe. Rediculous, no way.

Last test I saw by the guys who actually pulled it off on the UFO said the window is based on the tic length not the approximate duration I thought...

Rediculous, no way.

Connection latency. Very much ridiculous, plus your math is wrong. 10 seconds between tics x 0.75^18 = 0.056 second window for MV. No way in hell.

EDIT: Dasva: if you *** it up you could kill the helix before the next tic even goes off, so overloading on SCHs isn't a good idea either.

Just use common sense.

Duration is 60 seconds unresisted, so if you took

((((60*.75)*.75)*.75)...) 18 times, that results in 0.33826~

That's assuming everyone has meritted Modus Veritas.

It's not calculated by duration, it's calculated as a delay reduction between tics.

That's assuming you hadn't checked when tics were going off beforehand.

It's very predictable, and if you had a stopwatch you could say EXACTLY when the next tic will happen.

Fine just do 2 sets of 7. The window for that isn't that bad especially if you use programs to time it.

What the hell are you talking about? That's the window to use all 18 MVs successfully. Of course you're going to check when the tic occurs beforehand, your chance of making it work otherwise is abysmal. Any of this automatically assumes you know when the next tic will occur because not know that is killing your already low odds of getting it right.

Oh, and in case you guys didn't know.

Jamofu is one of Futchy's characters. It got banned from the salvage glitch. But Futchy's reputation was already ***way before that.

So far, people hate him on Asura, Alexander, and Lakshmi, and I'm going to take a guess Bismarck now.

Hey Futchy, tell them how you got your Shadow Ring, and your lolmandau.

See if people will deal with you then.

Jamofu is responding to a question about fleather. If he responded as Fleather, then we wouldn't have known that Fleather = Futchy.

It doesn't matter anymore if "Fleather" has an Aureole or not. What does matter is the method Fleather got it, and the actual reason why he is selling it. Ask Fleather how he got his relic and shadow ring why don't you? Or really, how his main got it.

D44kpunk's post (#148)

And Jamofu is known to be one of Futchy's handles.

So Futchy, how did you get that Mandau? Or the Aureole?

Yeah in the end I'd still buy it from him if I had the gil and he wasn't charging such a rediculous price. I'd be more cautious about hitting accept. I mean Don't want to trade 10s of mil for a JM chakram

Are you actually suggesting we make this site safe haven for scammers?

Oh wait, you didn't know / don't care just how big a scammer Futchy is.

It shouldn't be hard for an admin to do an IP match on the vacinity of the original poster to verify, either, if there are admins here who actually read or pay attention to threads.

Yeah, and violate user privacy?

That's a big no-no amongst respectable admins.

Still too lazy to do the research? Gosh, that's too bad.

I didn't say post his IP address. Just match it to what is already known and out there and if it is him, close this thread and ban the *** before this becomes another chapter.

Well we do read and pay attention to threads as much as we can, it may not be right away but we do.

The only thing a mod can really do is trash the thread with the evidence provided but if ppl actually see the item being for sale, it really isn't a scam. Show a screenshot of the item. Before you go buying the item, check the item in the trade and/or ask a GM watch with you on what happens.

If many of you know he's a scammer etc. then don't buy it.

There is some question if he really has it. Futchy isn't a "grade A" player. He is more like a "grade D" player tbh.

You realise that on the other thread and this one, he was posting from multiple accounts on this forum to make it seem like someone else was supporting him.

Most likely if he does have the Aureole its stolen anyway. As what information was provided here shows he scams/steals ingame, as well as IRL money with fake account selling.
