ALL TRUMP!!! ALL THE TIME!!!
No you are just being stupid. NBC/ABC/CBS aren't news channels. Yes, they broadcast a nonpartisan national news broadcast once a day for 30 minutes. They don't broadcast news 24/7 like CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. Even the primary Fox channel is not a news channel. Case in point, in 2.5 hours, I'm watching the Cubs on Fox.

To call them nonpartisan means you've never actually watched them. Prong said: » Viciouss said: » No you are just being stupid. NBC/ABC/CBS aren't news channels. Don't call me stupid. You're twisting ***to fit your argument. To call them nonpartisan means you've never actually watched them. No one is twisting anything. We are talking about TELEVISION. Not the internet. Not youtube. No, Young Turks is not a major cable news network. Your links didn't accomplish a single thing. You are trying to apply your broad perception of the media to the very narrow medium of TV. And your wrong, its that simple. Rooks' statement remains correct. There are 3 major cable news networks: Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN. No, you're wrong. And you can keep repeating yourself, it won't change that.
Those are news programs that are on television, and they aren't just 30 minutes. They are on every single night. People watch them, and for some, they are the ONLY television news they get, if those people don't have cable/streaming. They are all liberal biased, and they pump that bias at least once a day into America's homes via the television. For you to claim otherwise is insane. I mean ***, Rooks even linked Sinclair as an example and you didn't blink an eye. ALL of Sinclair is "local TV" stations. Those aren't CNN/MSNBC or Fox, but you counted those as an example of conservative bias without an issue.
There aren't even any Sinclair local stations where I'm at, that I am aware of. Prong said: » No, you're wrong. And you can keep repeating yourself, it won't change that. On my TELEVISION, every night, each channel, ABC/CBS/NBC has an hour of national/international news, not a website, but on my YouTube TV channels. Viciouss said: » Prong said: » No, you're wrong. I feel like I'm taking *** crazy pills with this conversation.
Just one example.
CBS Evening News. That's just the website showing the actual TV program, with video clips from that television news program. Because Sinclair is hyper-conservative, as Rooks accurately stated, so why would I blink? Prong said: » I feel like I'm taking *** crazy pills with this conversation. Because you are. Rooks made an accurate statement, and you lost your mind. We have clearly defined a news network as a channel that focuses on news. Nothing is going to make CBS/ABC/NBC fit that definition. You have tried to reference websites and Youtube channels for no reason. You just going to ignore that what you said was wrong? You really trying to say CBS/NBC/ABC doesn't have nightly news?
YOU decided that only 24/7 news channels count, I didn't. If a channel can funnel news into your home, it can influence you, so it counts. And I said Sinclair is just the small stations, the ones you acted like didn't count because they are not 24/7 news, but you counted those just because they fit your argument...but the liberal biased ones, which are all the rest, you are saying aren't news stations. They carry news, so either they all count, or you can't count Sinclair. YouTube TV and YouTube isn't the same thing. YouTube TV is a streaming service, just like Sling or Hulu Live TV, Philo, etc. Maybe you were unaware of this. I don't know. Can someone who isn't stuck in argument mode please help me out here? Chanti, Rooks, Eiryl, can anyone of you please verify that these networks have nightly news on them? I get a feeling Vic won't listen unless it's one of you.

Not hard. Then this should be super easy: as I said, you are not the end all/be all of what defines news. Just because you decided that only 24/7 news channels count (which by the way, even if we only counted 24/7 news channels, there are more than just those 3), it doesn't mean I or anyone has to agree to that standard of definition. If a channel has a news segment on it for 30 mins, an hour, 2 hours, it has the ability to influence viewers if it shows that news with any form of biased reporting. As I already said, there are millions of Americans who cannot afford cable/streaming services and their ONLY form of news on the TV is from the network nightly news segments. And, the 3 big networks that do have a nightly news hour, tend to be very liberal leaning in how they report the news, in the words they choose, what they choose to leave out. Again, just because you or you and Rooks or whoever has decided only 24/7 news channels "count" in the context of biased news sources doesn't mean the rest of the world has to agree with that definition. And then if we start talking about print news or online news or social media spreading news then wow, it starts to go so far left on the bias it's no contest. Prong said: » I feel like I'm taking *** crazy pills with this conversation. People are actually arguing that CNN isn’t a leftist news organization. Right I mean honestly, I'm starting to simply think that they have completely different definition to words than I have been accustomed to for 47 years on this planet. There is no other way I can see in my mind how anyone can come to the conclusion CNN isn't heavily liberal biased. I mean I'm willing to admit OAN is heavily conservative biased, even Fox (even though they at least take conservatives to task in interviews. You won't ever see MSNBC or CNN grill a Democratic president like Chris Wallace did Trump a few days ago). CNN is literally THE example of liberal bias. I'm just thinking that these threads have just turned everyone into argue machines...or maybe they just troll political topics all day on other websites as well and this is just their everyday normal, man I have no idea. Its a good thing we have the rest of the industry to help us with that. Second quarter TV ratings dominated by 3 news networks There are plenty of these kinds of articles, hell Fox News never hesitates to report it won the ratings war. And who do they compare themselves with? CNN and MSNBC. They don't take shots at ABC because they know they aren't the competition. You don't have to agree with what Rooks said about there only being 3 major news networks, but the defintion of what a news network is isn't changing to fit your lost narrative. And wow, are you lost. You seemed to agree with Rooks when he said CNN was "both sides Establishmentism". CNN hasn't been both sides anything for years, unless your definition of the Republican establishment only includes those who actively undermine their own party on a regular basis.
I didn't even mention partisan leanings. I simply backed up Rooks' assertion that there are only 3 major news networks. Prong has jumped through hoops for whatever reason in a failed attempt to say there are more than that, but there isn't. I mean if there is a 4th major news network in the US...what is it? And why aren't they reflected in the tv ratings?
Haha, man, I really touched a nerve. Hit dogs holler, I guess.
Bahamut.Ravael said: » People are actually arguing that CNN isn’t a leftist news organization. Can’t argue against an alternate reality, crazy pills or not. Like, "leftist" has an actual meaning. Bernie Sanders is the standard bearer for it in the US, despite the fact that he'd be a center-left guy in most of Europe. If your argument is that CNN is a Sanders-esque pinko festival, then holy ***, you really don't ever watch it. No one did more to undermine Sanders (and to a lesser extent, Warren) during the Democratic primaries. CNN was, in some regards, more damaging than Fox News to the left. I mean, just think about that. Actual lefties hate CNN more than the right does! If your argument is based on "anyone to the left of Seb Gorka is a leftist" then there is no helping you, for you have abandoned the concept of language. ?
You didn't strike a nerve any more than anyone else does. I just thoroughly disagree with your assertion. The political spectrum isn't universal, and I'm not sure why you're using such narrow definitions of the term "leftist", referring to European politics, and placing Bernie Sanders as the standard bearer. It is generally accepted in colloquial usage to mean anything left of center, and in American politics (which we are discussing) that most certainly includes CNN. Why is anyone attempting to use European Socialist standards for US politics?
Yes CNN is super left along with practically every other "entertainment news" organization. Anyone thanking otherwise doesn't live in reality. We've got recordings of CNN management ordering this to their rank and file writers. The rest don't even try to pretend otherwise. Nonstop "Democrats Good, Republicans bad, Orange Man Very Bad" We can see this with the language used, Ddmocrats get softer downplayed words while Republicans get harder aggressive words. You can't discuss with someone who has TDS. Best to test for it ahead of time. Drama Torama said: » ... Local TV stations across the country set to air discredited 'Plandemic' researcher's conspiracy theory about Fauci Quote: New York (CNN Business)Local television stations owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group are set to air a conspiracy theory over the weekend that suggests Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top expert on infectious diseases, was responsible for the creation of the coronavirus. The baseless conspiracy theory is set to air on stations across the country in a segment during the program "America This Week" hosted by Eric Bolling.
