We could argue different metrics all day, but let's look instead at the current proposals being floated around by Dem candidates right now. When asked how we're going to pay for these astronomically expensive measures, they won't answer because that's "a Republican talking point".

If you want to insist that the Dems have never wrecked the economy, then you would need to take a moment to thank the Republicans for not letting them.

Presidential candidates always say outrageous things, it was no different in 2016. Thats a stupid metric. Trump proposed a 1 trillion dollar infrastructure plan in 2016 as a candidate, and to this day, he has never explained how he plans to pay for it.

I'm not insisting anything, I simply asked if you could refer to a time when the Dems "wrecked the economy." Its ok if you can't.

Hmm, trying to think of the last time the left "destroyed the economy." Not during my lifetime.

Of course you can't. Everything that went wrong during a Democrat president's tenure was blamed on his predecessor. I still heard people blaming Bush in year eight of Obama.
Not to mention the crash was triggered by the democrat congress actions beginning in 06

Again, I'm not getting into metrics. The reason being that economy-wrecking policies don't result in a completely wrecked economy. For example, we could look at the tepid growth, the falling labor force participation rate, the spike in the number of people on food stamps, etc. of the Obama era, and you could counter that by talking about things like the stock market.

My original point was that the brand of Republican policies are not as prone to wrecking the economy as Democrat policies. It's an educated opinion, but until we see a president with supermajorities in the House and Senate, we'll never get to see the effects a party can have on the economy while completely unfettered.

Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh to challenge Trump in GOP presidential primary

Walsh is in. Trump now has two challengers.

Think he will debate them?

This is of course, a complete lie. I knew nausi would try to play this card.

Who knows how far nausi is having to skew to the extreme right to find a poll that fits his narrative. Remember how he tried to use a Zogby poll the other day? That was funny.

The president's approval rating among Republicans sat at 87 percent in July, but has slipped to 79 percent in the latest Hill-HarrisX survey conducted earlier this month.

President Trump Job Approval

RCP - poll aggregate also breakdown

IDK Nasui, it would get him more television time but he really has no need to debate. Then again if Walsh and Weld are in a debate without him he will seethe.

Chanti. Lefty polls are lefty polls. They purposely oversample lefty areas to create the results they want.

lol, did anyone not see this response coming? Very predictable today. Thats why Chanti posted the RCP aggregate. But that doesn't matter in nausi's fantasyland. Notice how he didn't source his poll number?

Like I said a few days ago, we are gonna be seeing a lot of Rasmussen and now Zogby results from now on. They are the only polls that fit the alt-right narrative.

RCP polls have him at the same spot that he's been more or less since May 2018. Not much has changed.

Oh yay, another "news article" based entirely on "unnamed sources" that our resident source bashers take at face value.

What a surprise.

The polls are not the point.

Any normal politician as a sitting president with over 70% in party approval would not debate. I think all here will agree that Trump is not a normal politician.

The question remains will he debate?

My dad gave me his Trump 2020 hat...
I was thinking on wearing it to work to make it less busy at the restaurant so my life would be a little easier (assuming no one tries to assault me).

(I’m not a Trump supporter, but i’m not a “lib” either... go Bernie!)

Just another distraction, to try and tarnish Trumps excellent record of progress.

How can you feel good about all this economic progress when Trump thinks nuking hurricanes is cool?
