You know they wouldn't be doing this if he were the nominee already. They may have learned their lesson after the Hillary fiasco and want to deal with the skeletons in the closet much earlier this time around.
The mere fact that CNN is actually covering this in-depth shows that this is actual Dem strategy at play. Otherwise they would be have a panel on the air right now discussing Trump's nostril width and how it's eerily similar to Hitler's.

Joe Biden is currently apologizing right now to something he said to a classmate in kindergarten. He has to apologize for everything before he can run for President.

Bet if Joe was still in office, they'd allow him to stay there. If the shoe was on the other foot, all hell be breaking loose asking for a Republican to resign.

Still going to withhold judgement. The thing about principles is they need to be universally applied, otherwise they just become self justifications to feel and act however one pleases. Selective principles are worse then no principles, at least the no principle people are being honest about it.
