Just in case you didnt wanna read the link:

Washington (CNN)A majority of Americans say they think Donald Trump is going to win a second term, according to a CNN Poll conducted by SSRS, even as the President's reviews on issues other than the economy remain largely negative.
The new poll finds 54% say their best guess is that Trump will win the 2020 election, 41% feel he will lose. Americans are slightly more apt to say Trump will win now than they were to say Barack Obama would win a second term in May 2011, in a survey conducted just after the death of Osama bin Laden (50% thought Obama would win in that poll). The new numbers on Trump are a reversal from December, when a narrow majority of 51% said they thought Trump would lose his bid for re-election.

Basically President Donald Trump is doing great at the one thing Americans care the most about and lousy at the things Americans care alot less about.

Economic growth and prosperity is the single dominant issue at play. Everything else is for the primaries.

Lol nausi has proven he has no idea how trade works. There is a reason Republicans are opposed to these tariffs, and he obviously doesn't know it. Keep going nausi, it's fun.

Let the man enjoy paying more taxes! Don't judge him.

Thw sheer ignorance here is astounding. Same people who knew with certainty that the market was going to collapse upon Trump being elected.

We’re still waiting for that to happen.

No one is suffering from these tariffs from China, they haven’t had the doomsday effect liberal priests have foretold.

They’re wrong again (and again and again)

Source??

If it costs 20% more for things in mexico then companies will buy their good from non-tariff sources elsewhere inside or outside the country. They’ll pay 5% more inside the country instead of 20% more outside.

OR

Mexico will eat the 15% of that 20% tariff in order to compete.

Mexico has no other choice. ZERO. They need access to our market way more than we do theirs. We are the recipient of like the majority of their exports.
You seem to have no concept of:

1, economics
2, how cars and trucks are built in America.
3, the amount of food that Mexico exports to the USA.

Uh yeah everyone is actually. Like I said, its been proven you don't know what you're talking about. Everyone suffers from the tariffs American companies pass on to us. China isn't paying anything. Mexico isn't paying anything. Its all being paid by American companies and American consumers.

The fantasy narrative that you are pushing that companies can just go elsewhere to fill their demand is complete ***. Lie about it as much as you want, there is no magic replicator that can produce the amount of food Mexico is selling to us. American businesses are lining up to tell Trumpy they cannot pay the tariffs and there are no alternative suppliers.

Kiijs more like Trump is folding again to me.

Cancels tariffs for a "meeting."

Quote:
"If we are able to make the deal with Mexico, & there is a good chance that we will, they will begin purchasing Farm & Agricultural products at very high levels, starting immediately," Trump wrote on Twitter. If we are unable to make the deal, Mexico will begin paying Tariffs at the 5% level on Monday!"
Notice that if?

The whole point of the tariff threat was to make a deal. The deal was made, hence no tariffs. How does that constitute Trump "blinking"?

Because there is no deal. I mean, he just promised it could eliminate illegal immigration. You're an idiot if you believe that. Nothing is going to change. Everyone lined up against the tariff idea, so Trump is touting a fake deal in order to save face. Its a blink. Literally, nothing is gonna change.

A fake deal? With details to be announced by the State Department?

How the frick would you know anyway? It just barely announced over an hour ago, genius. At least try to hide your preconceived bias for once.

That's all you got? Hoping for some kind of deal to eliminate illegal immigration? Its just Trump saving face. He could not implement the tariffs on Monday, so he had to announce some kind of bogus deal. The fact that you can't see that makes you just as stupid as nausi, congrats. I knew this was going to be a fun day.

This is the joint statement that Rav was looking forward to so much.

Quote:
Mexico will take unprecedented steps to increase enforcement to curb irregular migration, to include the deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border. Mexico is also taking decisive action to dismantle human smuggling and trafficking organizations as well as their illicit financial and transportation networks. Additionally, the United States and Mexico commit to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including information sharing and coordinated actions to better protect and secure our common border.

Migrant Protection Protocols

The United States will immediately expand the implementation of the existing Migrant Protection Protocols across its entire Southern Border. This means that those crossing the U.S. Southern Border to seek asylum will be rapidly returned to Mexico where they may await the adjudication of their asylum claims.
In response, Mexico will authorize the entrance of all of those individuals for humanitarian reasons, in compliance with its international obligations, while they await the adjudication of their asylum claims. Mexico will also offer jobs, healthcare and education according to its principles.

The United States commits to work to accelerate the adjudication of asylum claims and to conclude removal proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

Further Actions
Both parties also agree that, in the event the measures adopted do not have the expected results, they will take further actions. Therefore, the United States and Mexico will continue their discussions on the terms of additional understandings to address irregular migrant flows and asylum issues, to be completed and announced within 90 days, if necessary.

Ongoing Regional Strategy

The United States and Mexico reiterate their previous statement of December 18, 2018, that both countries recognize the strong links between promoting development and economic growth in southern Mexico and the success of promoting prosperity, good governance and security in Central America. The United States and Mexico welcome the Comprehensive Development Plan launched by the Government of Mexico in concert with the Governments of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras to promote these goals. The United States and Mexico will lead in working with regional and international partners to build a more prosperous and secure Central America to address the underlying causes of migration, so that citizens of the region can build better lives for themselves and their families at home.

So yeah, this is nothing. There aren't any changes to the asylum policy that Trump desperately wants, mainly because Mexico doesn't believe in Trump's asylum policy, which, shockingly, Americans don't believe in it either. Mexico is really calling for Trump to reinstate the foreign aid programs to Central America that he foolishly ended. It certainly is not going to have even a small impact on illegal immigration, much less end it (LOL).

Trump manufactured this situation with the tariffs, he didn't "win" anything. He backed down. Put if off for "90 days" so he can actually try to get Congress on board (he won't). But don't expect American companies to change their business model in the meantime.
