Random Politics & Religion #35: It's Turtle Time!

Idaho-based Road to Power, a right-wing band of Ku Klux terrorists, were sending robocalls where the voice claimed to be Oprah Winfrey. The messages the robocall left were both racist and antisemitic in nature. Now tell me, how does a terrorist organization get it's hands on the list of likely, registered voters when that info is NOT public? They hack to get it. Let me translate this so people that aren't insane can understand: Republicans are colluding with the KKK something something Oprah something something evil ! I bought plenty of beer so no matter who wins tomorrow...I win !
That's what election day is really about drinking and watching talking heads predict things.

Ummm... you can go to any board of election and get a full list of all voters and addresses. I did it when I carried for local elections. It is public information. You could go to your board of election tomorrow and get a copy of every registered democrat/republican/independent..whatever. How do you think people from a specific party that are carrying petitions know which house to go to. Little Caesar is on TCM see...you should watch it see !

One portion of the political spectrum has a great tendency to lean on the fiction. We probably disagree on which portion. WaPo linked through MSN. Quote: If you can’t remember why the United States made the Federal Reserve independent, take a look at Venezuela. If you can’t remember and you happen to be the president of the United States, look twice. Since the start of 2012, you see, Venezuela’s government has forced its central bank to print so much money that its currency, going by black market rates, has lost 99.9999 percent of its value. In the meantime, the regime’s response has been to lop five zeros off all their money in an attempt to pretend things aren’t as bad as they are.... ...Double-digit inflation is more than bad enough, and it can take only a little interference to get there. That’s something we’ve learned firsthand. The stagflation of the 1970s, after all, was in no small part a result of the way President Richard Nixon bullied the Fed into keeping interest rates inappropriately low during his reelection campaign. The simple story, then, is that it’s better for central banks to be independent, because easier money is always in a politician’s short-term interest, but isn’t always in the economy’s long-term one.... Your claim about NPR's accuracy was weak, and the logical sequence in your proceeding statements were based on opinion and logical fallacy. And yes, we disagree on which portion of the spectrum leans on fiction, but my viewpoint isn't as biased. I think the entire spectrum leans on fiction because people are idiots. And yes, I realize that I am also a "people". NPR is terrible. They have a show called All Things Considered...expect Republicans.
The worst part is it is tax funded liberal ***. I don't mind taxes going to things...but public radio...yea get the *** out with that *** !
Still waiting for someone to explain how hat ad was racist.
Pro-tip they can’t (because it isnt). Its just another left wing tantrum because Trump speaks the truth. Voted, as I left there were adds on radio and news apps saying "if you want to report voter problems or intimidation call this number" and such, and I was half tempted to call them and say the problem was too many commies. =P
Candlejack said: » Happy Election Day, people! Did you go vote? Would it make you mad if I said yes? A world that let's CJ vote...I don't know if my vote really matters then.
I voted a couple of weeks ago thanks to WA's all mail in vote system.
I just wish that somehow the adds and mailers would shut off for me after I voted. Candlejack said: » Happy Election Day, people! Did you go vote? yep. Libertarians where possible, against democrats where not, and against a $1 tax hike on a pack of smokes. the best FU I can send leftists and socialists. fonewear said: » I don't know if my vote really matters. Sadly... every election is decided by the people that feel this way and never even bother to vote. I voted for evil, NO on all the issues and tax levies and yes for the goddamned liquor license approvals.... It pisses me right off that people still have to jump through hoops to get those. They have to hire a company to canvas all the surrounding neighborhoods of their bar, get a metric crapton of signatures to get it put on the ballot and then hope dipshits like me don't vote no on it so they can sell wine on a fricken sunday... The only reason I would vote today is to get that fancy "I voted" sticker.
