In the meantime, it seems Georgia's Brian Kemp was on to something with election hacking, but the culprits don't seem to be who he was blaming. Idaho-based Road to Power, a right-wing band of Ku Klux terrorists, were sending robocalls where the voice claimed to be Oprah Winfrey. The messages the robocall left were both racist and antisemitic in nature. Now tell me, how does a terrorist organization get it's hands on the list of likely, registered voters when that info is NOT public? They hack to get it.

That was a horrible attempt at an objective argument.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand, but you can have an extremely biased argument and base it 100% on facts. All you have to do is report only the facts that are favorable to your cause. No portion of the political spectrum has claim to absolute truth.

If you can’t remember why the United States made the Federal Reserve independent, take a look at Venezuela. If you can’t remember and you happen to be the president of the United States, look twice.

Since the start of 2012, you see, Venezuela’s government has forced its central bank to print so much money that its currency, going by black market rates, has lost 99.9999 percent of its value. In the meantime, the regime’s response has been to lop five zeros off all their money in an attempt to pretend things aren’t as bad as they are....

...Double-digit inflation is more than bad enough, and it can take only a little interference to get there. That’s something we’ve learned firsthand. The stagflation of the 1970s, after all, was in no small part a result of the way President Richard Nixon bullied the Fed into keeping interest rates inappropriately low during his reelection campaign.

The simple story, then, is that it’s better for central banks to be independent, because easier money is always in a politician’s short-term interest, but isn’t always in the economy’s long-term one....

I didn't present it as an argument.

You can also have an extremely biased argument and base it 100% on fiction.

One portion of the political spectrum has a great tendency to lean on the fiction. We probably disagree on which portion.
