Omen bodies for EVERYONE, happy hunting!
Phoenix.Tearxx said: » Vouchers can't be d-boxed between main and alts right? right So as many might have overlooked the N.P.C. did mention your quality of items received from thuds and loud thuds, would be better based upon how much you have traded to the A.M.A.N. Re-claimer N.P.C.
That being said based upon the results of 2 accounts one having traded for over 250+ vouchers versus one account maybe traded for 30-50 ( being my alt ) I have noticed that when I do runs on My main account I get higher quality loot and I have received many Omen, rare helm NM drops, but when popping on my mule I get Escha weapons or weak armor. I think this makes a lot of sense being they expected people to try to utilize using many new accounts and expecting great loot. I am not saying it isn't possible to get loot from these accounts but I feel your chances are far greater on a account that has traded more to the re-claimer. Leviathan.Comeatmebro

I don't remember the exact text, but I've gotten both of my omen bodies from characters that did not have any AMAN items traded in, and nothing good from my characters that were thousands deep.
I think that's just some silly reaching, to be honest. I Dano. I just go in expecting to die or get ***. Got 5 mil and regal captain gloves on 4 noises and Venus orb. I’ll keep up the assumption of getting ***Or dying.
Snagged a Shamash Robe, Annointed Kalasiris, and a Router on a mule that traded in 0 vouchers.
I like how Drakenv put it though, get ***or die. All mars orbs

Why... would you even consider exiting on a 3 noise? obviously knowing the outcome it was a brilliant move, but?

I legit hate you. After like 3 runs where I had all but the mimic give a noise and I still got 0 armor
My first really rare item. (Mars orb)
I won't complain but I really wanted a different body, gave this to my alt whm/geo. Venus orb, 5 chests.
Pretty gutsy to keep goin after 2 thuds. Been trying to get a minimum of 2 thud before exiting, but having done dozens of thud and not a single piece worth keeping, I should probably just go big on trying for loud thuds.

Yeah same for me from now on, loud thud or bust. Leviathan.Comeatmebro

Really hard to draw any conclusions when you see random crap like a 3 noise omen body. I had stopped valuing thuds and only went for loud thuds last month, but now I'm on the fence. Shame we don't have any organized data.
I still stand by my original statement that it's identical to logwatch.
Anything can drop regardless how much light(noise) you get, but thuds are like hitting procs. 1; noise 3; thud 5; loud thud, just like logwatch sometimes you simply can't hit the 3's and 5's but can still pull plates/glowies Leviathan.Comeatmebro

There have to be at least 2 variables, since if you get a single loud thud and exit you won't get as much loot as several noises even if it is higher quality.
# of items = # of chests
Qualty = Quality of total noise Every chest, including exit chest = + 1 item (100% of the time if you open 5 > exit > you will get 6 items (on an account that can receive all r/e items etc)) 5mil seems to happen randomly, regardless of chests opened/total item count (aka 5m is independent drop) Leviathan.Comeatmebro

Nice to think of it that way, but doesn't really match result. There's a pretty clear correlation between number of noises and number of non-equippable drops. If it was a general quality variable, you would see runs where half of your drops were equippable whenever you got a lot of noises followed by a thud. Generally those cases spit out a bunch of synth mats and one or two armor pieces.
I think Eiryl is on the right track, but perhaps loud thud is more like Abyssesa yellow or blue procs than VW quality+, since loud thud pretty clearly guarantees an item from the possible pool of “high quality” stuff like Omen bodies, glowy Escha/VW stuff, Tartarus, etc. I could see noises beyond loud thud giving an increase in the odds of a chance at that pool though - more like VW lights - but it’s still a very low rate without a loud thud.
# of items = # of chests is definitely correct. Leviathan.Comeatmebro

I'm just not seeing any evidence that there's an actual quality variable, it seems more likely that it's as was originally assumed and each thud/noise/loud thud provides an independant roll that adds 1-2 items to pool.
A proc/light system would need to only effect specific slots, or effect slots disproportionately, to match up with runs that have many noises and a thud. In most of those runs, you still see 1-2 pieces of gear per thud/loud thud and 1 piece of crap per noise. Last month got 5m, three times in a row. Two from noise, once from thud. That may not be what SE considers quality though, usually a thud/loud thud gets me HTBF/Escha (Multiple times being HELM drop) |
