Which town in ffxi you feel you could live in RL?
Whitegate. I loved that expansion and area. I could go afk to caedarva mire or wajoam listeing to the music. The darknesss in those lands I enjoyed. The merit parties vs soulflayers and imps. What town could you live in?
I forget the name but the mithran hometown that we never get to see. Cause obviously.
Is the BGM playing? Whitegate all the way if so.

Windy. Sprawling town with winding paths with greenery and water all around. Filled with cute midgets and cat girls and convenient teleports to various areas home to the biggest pupper ever
Kugane
( o-o)b Depends. I like Eastern Adoulin because of the ocean air, the European feel and the waterfall in the town square. But none of the door open. So if that becomes an issue, I'd change my pick to Jeuno since it's similar.

Clearly this reveals that the game needs an alpine town.
I'd love to live in Windurst! It's so pretty and full of wildlife. The music and atmosphere is lively yet relaxing, too. Plus it's home to my favourite crafting guilds.
Sandoria for sure. I don't want to deal with selbina, rabao, bastok, mhaura. All the dirt and sand
Kazham circa 2003. It's like the perfect tropical getaway... with the added daily enjoyment of watching Goblin Smithies run amok on noobs.

Bibiki bay all year around though it is not a town. It’s a tropical resort!!!!
As a Mithra thief, kicking it Nanaa Mihgo and robbing people, giving a side cut to the Scandalous Shantotto for 'future favors', all while enjoying the antics of the S.O.B., i'd have to go with Windurst first.
Bastok would be a close second <its my home nation and starting city>. I would run a mining business , and use my connections with Mihgo's Amigo's to occasionaly mug / despoil the other miners efforts to build a vast empire mithran greed! =^.^= Ranking them would be a tough one but here goes nothing:
Based on Music: 1-Aht Urhgan Whitegate 2-Windurst 3-Selbina 3-Tavnazian Safehold 4-Lower Jeuno during Christmas 5-Bastok Over all Atmosphere/Architecture: 1-Aht Urhgan Whitegate 2-Eastern Adoulin 3-Northern Sandoria 4-Windurst 5-Kazham Offline

Based on Music Xarcabard or Zi Tah. Mhaura or East Adoulin.
I need a place by the sea, so that excludes Sandy which is a lake town, and most beastmen holds. Bastok is horrifying. Windy looks very nice, but I can't help but think it would be swarmed with mosquitoes considering the savannah climate and many ponds. Same worry I have about Kazham and West Adoulin being in a jungle. Selbina I'm afraid would be scorching hot, which is more than I could take. Nashmau is a swamp. Aht Urhgan just doesn't convince me. Jeuno is alright but I don't like the idea of living in a tower albeit giant. Norg I'm not sure, looks pretty humid in those caves. So yeah, either Mhaura or East Adoulin, nice port towns by the ocean with decent climate. The real question is how I would make a living in this world, being an adventurer is an absolute no that's way too dangerous and you have to be crazy to do that! I'd probably study some school of magic and become a scholar or a teacher(most likely of geomancy at the Renaye guild, considering what I do irl). Ru'Aun Gardens because yes.
