Physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76, his family has said.

The Briton was known for his groundbreaking work with black holes and relativity, and was the author of several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.

His children, Lucy, Robert and Tim, said: "We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today.

"He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years."

T'was only a matter of time. One of Alex Jones' conspiracy theory targets has just sued him for defamation. The suit, launched yesterday, seeks to prevent Jones from using his Youtube channel to attack and defame other people. The person behind the suit, Brennan Gilmore, had been in Charlottesville last year when a piece of far-right Nazi trailer trash ran a car into a crowd of people in a terrorist attack. Jones has since repeatedly labeled Brennan as a "deep state shill and CIA asset". Gilmore is also suing former congressman Allen West and Gateway Pundit owner Jim Hoft, claiming they aide Jones in pushing his batshit conspiracy theories.

Well that sucks. Great scientific minds like his don't come around very often. That being said, living to 76 with his condition is pretty impressive.

Please forgive the triple-post but I found this quite moving. Stephen Hawking was a Professor at the University of Cambridge for decades so this tribute to him was fantastic.

Electrons vote republican?

We have never had a WH with this much drama coming from the actual inner workings before. Most of the time its a Cabinet member under fire, but this is a WH that in its first year lost what, 20+ senior staffers? That's being generous, its probably more than that. And all of them left via scandal, that's the problem. It seems like half of them still don't have security clearance because of some legit investigation going on, a lot of them failed to divest their income, others failed to report conflicts of interest, its been over a year and they still cannot get all of their ducks in a row. That's not even addressing all of the very real problems with the Cabinet.

It seems like the possible denuclearization of NK has finally sent a wake up call that the bad apples need to get out. That said there is nothing wrong with McMaster, he just looked at the intel and told the truth about Russia, and Trump got all upset about it. But all signs indicate more upheaval is on the way.

If he was such a great person why didn't he post on FFXIAH....
