This is turning into Final Ambuscade XI

Low difficulty ambuscade reward boosts will help everyone. There's now basically no reason to ever solo anything if V2D, which is pretty much a 100% win rate with 4 warm bodies and a Trust healer/tank, is that rewarding.

It might be an Ealdnarche /sitchair rather than a mount. We'll see I guess.

Fly High is gonna be fun with 4 Jumps with 10s recasts. Also Ryunohige might make a much-awaited comeback.

If all jumps are separate recast... Does drg even need to engage for tp anymore?

I haven't played in a few years, but Jump is a 90s recast, can merit down to 70 seconds. High Jump is 180 seconds, can merit down to 150. Spirit and Soul Jump share recasts with the former 2 Jumps but if they split them, it remains to be seen if they'll alter the merit category to allow it to affect both. My gut instinct tells me Jump and High Jump will be merit-able, but Spirit and Soul Jump will have separate recasts without corresponding merit category.

If SE is smart they will change Jump and High Jump merit categories to "Jump I recast" and have it work for both Jump and Spirit Jump, and "Jump II recast" and have it affect High Jump and Soul Jump. Either way, DRG will still need to engage as the recasts are still high. Moreover, in high haste situations, jumps might reduce DPS as auto-attacking might be faster because 2.5s JA delay.

Man, when was the last time we got a Meeble campaign?

I dont need to read japanese to see how shitty was the "boost" in V2 gallantry/hallmark rewards.

Sucks because a somehow doable reward on V2 would help to skip those Quadavs.

And so many upgrades on ambuscade weapons, some of them will become broken.

still no adjustment to the over powered monk, what a shame.

I know one update I'd like to see sometime. Uncap all job specific merits, there's really not much point at keeping them locked to only 10 points per category imo, they're not gamebreaking at this stage of the game.

You literally trade the new years animal parade items till it gives you one.

New mount quest and rdm adjustments along with ambu weapon upgrades. Interesting

Was confirmed by Funk few weeks ago, see top of the page.

I guess we can rule out Eld'narche's chair is a mount and not another /sit emoji. That polearm looks unique. Might mean all the ambu weapons have their own new model now.

The polearm is a recoloring of the Delphinius lance, but this one has a purple shaft instead of a blue one.

With how slow they've been rolling out the upgrades I would bet this is simply the final skill upgrade to +242 and augments will come in a later update.

Is that the Stymie animation? I was always kinda pissed it didn't last the whole duration and only next enfeelbing spell if so and hope they make it like a 30 second elemental seal for debuffs.
