I think thats more botched translations? I cant navigate JP POL site to check.
It was hard enough to find a camp during the 3 weeks campaign in May. A single week of exp campaign in the middle of July is going to be a total pain.

You'll probably see double xp every other week for 6 weeks instead of on for 3 solid weeks Can't imagine they would just do one week and then leave everything off the rest of the month. Campaigns are on more than they're off. That'd be very awkward to change the paradigm. Weird if they are planning on changing campaigns every week.
Isn't that more work? Or maybe they can automate start/end of campaigns. It's possible theyve decided they just want campaigns off during bout.
Theres no "good time" to stop exping and go do bout instead. Every time double cp is up or double accolades is up or 6x seals is up it's shitty to do anything else. Maybe they finally accepted that fact. Doubt they're planning on less handouts, handouts are their bread and butter. Just wait it out and see, they've surely got an idea.
Way more willing to trust them recently. Its likely automatable, just set start and end dates.
The Orb BCNM's have their campaign loot determined by entry time ie: if you enter Kindred Spirits II at 7:59:59, you'll still get the bonus loot despite the campaign having ended. I think there needs to be an "RMT Aficionado" sub-forum, so we can separate the people who play FFXI and the people who use it as their primary source of income. One group appears to be ...louder, if you get my drift. trying to separate FFXI from RMT would be disastrous. what would the playerbase do if they suddenly had to earn their own gil, farm all their delve/vagary/dynamis materials by themselves, etc.
if you couldn't buy 30k alexandrite just by taking a trip to nashmau, or 10k boulders from Oboro, would you make that 20th RMEA weapon as quickly? the whole game has ridiculous farms that can be expedited by paying someone else to do it for you. I do think Fujito has taken steps with Sortie and Limbus to remove gil from the equation, as well as the lowered requirements for Artifact and Relic upgrades, but that is only a drop in the bucket honestly. Bit by bit. I think at this point they’d need to change how the grinds are handled if they eliminate RMT. Whether it’s reducing currency amounts, increasing drop rates, switching grinds to rare/ex…I do not know. Aeonics seemed like a good step in that direction, it’s just a shame a lot of people get it Merced.
never underestimate convenience, or if you prefer, laziness. anything people can pay someone else to do for them, they will.
I guess it just needs to be said that I just clip through and pos warp genkai.
To think that I'd be pedestrian enough to need genkai removed for me is silly. But it would bring people that won't do it, to equity. No ones going to miss going to otz, davoi or beaduex. You go there once(twice) and never again. It's acceptably skippable. Playing rock paper scissors really is unnecessary. Just turn in the merits and be on your way. Am I the only one that thinks the discounted sub campaign is a slap to current players?
You get only get the discounted campaign to XI IF you have a FFXIV sub. I got really excited at the idea of invited friends who haven’t played in a long time. Thinking the discount applied to new/returning players. Only to find out, no… actually. I wish it was either or, yes. But I’m happy XIV players have road into trying XI. I just wish I went both ways.

The play might be to have more people in instanced content. Again. Not an expert to how it’ll all get done hehe. Personally stuck on reisenjima HELMs Bahamut.Senaki said: » I got really excited at the idea of invited friends who haven’t played in a long time. Thinking the discount applied to new/returning players i don't think this is a slap in the face, it's just marketing. considering anyone who didn't return last month has to pay the full $30 for the collection, it's actually $36.95 for 2 months now vs $22.95 last month Shiva.Thorny said: » it's actually $36.95 for 2 months now vs $22.95 last month Yeah, definitely a scam. Thinking the discount applied to new/returning players. Only to find out, no… actually. Yes and no, in general marketers favor wooing something new and shun loyalty (i've switched cable/phone carriers for years because of this). But getting more players into the game is good for the current players, and honestly $15ish a month is pretty good value considering the number of hrs most of us put in this game. Of course that's the rub against me trying out XIV , I spend too much time here so why sub to that? If there was a significant benefit (both for $20 or maybe free wardrobes in 11 or something) for having both I would likely do so, not sure if I could balance both games or not. Conversely if I could buy a year in advance or something for a significant discount I would probably do so. From SE perspective I think both the R&D and player base of both games are cannibalizing each other, that could be lessened potentially by pricing incentives, its a bit shocking to me this has never happened (or much). I think there's some theoretical world where you can grow the player base of both games (more casuals) which should be healthy (and help the economy) and SE makes more money, but doesn't really put much strain on R&D or the active load (servers/GMs). Even stuff like free characters < lvl 99 (and maybe crafts level 70) (i suppose people might have AH mules) Give the game away with codes of all expansions. (people who quit before SoA really need this paywall?) Or maybe a tiered pricing system based on playtime. even just having old players log in to say hi improves the game for current players (i'm sure we've all played with at least a handful of folks we'd love to chat with again) The notes about the upcoming month's campaign.
"To allow players to enjoy the content listed above at their own pace, while also making the most of the campaigns, we will be adjusting the duration and of the Level Smasher Support Campaign, which will be available per the following:" What does this mean? Lol. Means they don't want the seasonal events and CP/XP campaigns to run at the same time because then you have to choose which one to do.

I have a job to CP, but also don't like it when there are other things you want to do at the same time. They also mentioned something about giving us the Vanabout Campaign (assuming Odyssey) again for a second month? Asura.Eiryl said: » They'll do multiple 1 week on 1 week off campaigns. DOUBLE GALLIMAUFRY! ...of course not. But I can see a campaign with a small bonus to EP maybe? Quote: Also, as mentioned in our recent update, the July monthly campaigns will be somewhat shorter than usual. We're running this as an experiment in regards to feedback we received stating that there is too much going on when both Vana'Bout and the monthly campaigns are running at the same time. Conversely, this means that there will be less time for players to take advantage of the campaigns, so we have tried to pack in as much content as possible. You, don't. Wrong nationality.
