Dev Tracker - Discussion
A lot of people are going to be waking up at their home point.
Wait wut, permanent 6 DM augs per day?
Really? Now maybe before the end of the year I will manage to get some Phalanx+5 pieces then :-P And perma monster rearing campaign is nice too, given the recent new objective I just set myself. (gathering all the cheers I was missing, around 20) This just means that we're getting an all jobs armor set that gets phalanx+6 augments on it by sneezing at it.
EDIT: less impressive, but Goblin Stew 880 is also going to be permanently accessible Ooooh forgot about the Goblin Stew.
I don't need it of course but it's neat for returning players I guess. But wait? Are there returning players at all? Sometimes I wonder about that lmao Asura.Sechs said: » Wait wut, permanent 6 DM augs per day? Really? (gathering all the cheers I was missing, around 20) If you earn a cheer or raise a high ranking monster, then get rid of it, do you keep the cheer and the items you can buy from the Mog Garden Moogle? Of course, that's the entire purpose of the KI!

EDIT: less impressive, but Goblin Stew 880 is also going to be permanently accessible Dark Matter campaign was like every other month and half of them PLUS, so overall it will be maybe twice the number of augments per year. What helps the most to get +5 phalanx augments is making alts with Reisenjima access. Now just neeeeeeeeeed them to remove genkais.
Improve that "new player" experience. Genkais are good for new players, they let people travel and see strongholds etc. you probably want them to remove genkais, so you can make your farmbots to 99 faster.
other than phalanx and TH, are there really any good dark matter augments left? I always went with Jeuno Volte for TH, which does require 1 extra inv space, and Skirmish for phalanx which had lower caps but was much easier to find.
I guess some people enjoy the pure RNG gambling experience, but I don't really think it does much for new or returners at all. Theres also refresh 2 items when you don't need defensive stats and some silly high rolls are possible for nuking items or certain ws but you need near perfect augments

Idk if this is just wrong or what ![]() Asura.Sechs said: » But wait? Are there returning players at all? Sometimes I wonder about that lmao There's a constant revolving door of returning players, the majority don't stick to it sadly though, not sure if it's because they just don't realise how much of a time investment the game can still be or it wasn't what they expected, who knows. Rearing Campaign is just easier to evolve.
Goblin Stew 880 is gardening campaign, not rearing campaign. (instead of making 880 permanent, which they aren't, I'd rather just be able to give the goblin a mil in one go and be done) Asura.Sechs said: » But wait? Are there returning players at all? Yes, after every freelogin there's always at least a dozen people that pop up and stick around for various amounts of time, each time at least one person stays for at least a year. This on Cerberus, currently the lowest population server. Kaffy said: » other than phalanx and TH, are there really any good dark matter augments left? Paladin wants to roll phalanx on odyssean boots to cap phalanx received while also maintaining >100 SIRD (Odyssean boots have 20% SIRD) That way you can cast phalanx on yourself and not get interrupted when cleaving. I'm still holding out hope on Chironic Hose for STP & QA2~3 augs (my slippers are QA+2) for my BRD. I was able to get a low-acc Chironic Hose with STP+9 (I don't have Volte legs), but it's not ideal to use with KC or TPB OH due to the low accuracy. Nyame is the default for most things of course, so I'm not stressed about it anyways, but it would be cool to get a nice acc/qa/stp roll someday.
I don't have much else to get from DM besides Phalanx +5 on a few pieces. I spent 3-4 months in bastok trying to get my bard volte legs
I almost changed my charnames to Shredder Kwang Baxter Bebpop Rocksteady Plasticstraw Wonder if we'll get Limbus NMs in August, September, or October...or if they'll wait and put them out in November as the "11 month" bigger update they have each year

Didn't find it rare at all, and this with TH4 not a dedicated thief. Dodik said: » Didn't find it rare at all Variance can suck on a droprate like that, though. I never said I wasnt unlucky in general, I got my fair share of head/hn/ft, ratnaraj, etc, I just couldnt get the tights to drop.
Though to be fair, I think the first month or so I went with just TH4 before I got fed up and swapped one of my DD's to thf. We did dynamis bastok basically every week for a year and got one pair of pants, doing all NMs with th8 or higher.
We get some kinda volte reasonably often, but getting pants specifically is not very common, in my experience. Oh, look.
Discount campaign for FFXIV players to play FFXI. I like that SE is at least trying to promote FFXI, incentivating more players to come. Shows that they dont have plans to let FFXI die. ...yet! Seems like a scam.
I honestly don't understand campaigns for July. We only getting a week of campaigns related to exp, skill ups and Aman?
