While I think $100 is a bit much for them, someone with a lot of time invested into the game might think otherwise. Just look at how many people buy Collectors Editions of games and are willing to pay an extra $40 for something that cost them .10 to make.

They need to come out with a Shantotto plushie, I'd pay $100 for that x'D

The instant I saw this thread, the first thing I did was find the news at the official site. I must admit, as opposed to most here, I'm very excited about this. I've spent upwards of $200 on Final Fantasy collectibles, so this is something I -must- have since I had already missed out on the Talisman (I had stopped playing for a while, and during that hiatus, the talisman came out). As everyone else, I'm also hoping it comes with an in-game item, but with SE's track record, I see it rather plausible. With the Playonline Digipass thing we got our satchel, and with the Talisman people got a rather nice body piece (even if its enchantment works only once every 40 or whatnot hours, it still looks pretty).

I'm already gathering my money up for this. When I receive my San d'Orian necklace, I'll wear it with pride, even if people look at me funny.

Well Dramanue, some of us actually have social lives filled with friends, nagging girlfriends, drinking, fun and whatnot. So yeah, spending that much for a trinket that would otherwise take up space wherever it settles, isn't gonna fly.

Average cost of it is around $130 not including any engravings.

I just probably wound't buy FFXI dog tags lol.... but the price is about right unless it wasn't SV925. It's almost like the Tiffany bracelets or necklace you buy with 925 on it.

So if I get SV925 stamped on a penny it's silver?
