Would have worded a little differently, but most of the arguments I've seen on here on this topic really seems like a backhand to their own gender without them realizing it.

So, honest question for the proponents of the law: why the focus on trans in a bathroom? Because this seems like a really dumb hill to die on. From the thread, the incidents being brought up have nothing to do with trans people in the first place. Why fight this battle?

Good point, especially since it's been the same discussion that always ends in the same stalemate. Not my hill to die on.

I know this was probably addressed to the general population of AH, but maybe the people who bring it up can explain why the repetition is needed. We're dying to know.

That's all there is to it. The current system in place works perfectly fine. Humans with male parts go to the male bathroom, humans with female parts go to the female bathroom. Works for over ~99.9999% of the population, there might be another 9 in there.

The only people the current system would possibly have a negative effect on would be transsexuals who don't want a sex change operation and are psychologically weak that they are traumatized by a picture of a guy / girl on the door they walk into.

There are so many other things that have a greater impact on our society to worry about, like fluffy or non-fluffy toilet paper and salt or no-salt crackers.

So yeah, it's literally just something the left use's to antagonize the right. And those on the right, like idiots, buy right into the troll attempt and take them seriously.

The current system where we all use the facilities associated with our gender IS the current *** system. Trans people have been following normal etiquette before these stupid laws and they'll continue using their gender appropriate bathroom long after the courts start striking those laws down.

Why are we having a 9 page debate about gender natural bathrooms then?

Continually repeating your talking points in convenient South Park format is not an argument. I asked for your rationale, and as far as I can tell, it's "I think transgender is made up, and purely an excuse for toilet snooping". Which, if that's what you believe, then say so.

We did that for 8 pages, we debunked him at every turn, we repeatedly asked him to point out the relationship between the Toronto incidents and the "bathroom rule," YOU asked him to do the same thing, and he has failed, repeatedly, he just keeps spamming the same nonsense over and over without actually making a point.

We've gotten to fifty pages without a real incident (other than a too-quick trigger finger on my part), so honestly? I'm pretty proud of this so far. Still gotta follow the rules, though. If someone cannot engage on the topic, then that's either block territory, or report territory. Either way, the personal infighting and directed attacks is exactly what I set out to stop.
