Everything is back to normal for me.
(ISP Orange, france) Asura.Sechs said: » Do Orange and Telecom Italia share some international routing maybe? That might explain why both ISPs are afflicted by these issues. I am unaware for POL IPs (for the servers) and since I am working right now, I can't turn on the Windows computer to research, does anybody know the IPs for the actual servers so we could do traceroutes and find out if we share any route? For now: Code [root@home ~]# traceroute www.playonline.com traceroute to http://www.playonline.com (90.84.59.131), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 livebox.home (192.168.1.1) 4.381 ms 6.328 ms 6.341 ms 2 80.10.121.131 (80.10.121.131) 22.035 ms 22.633 ms 23.853 ms 3 10.123.82.74 (10.123.82.74) 25.251 ms 10.123.82.10 (10.123.82.10) 27.000 ms 27.731 ms 4 ae41-0.nilyo102.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.86) 35.486 ms ae41-0.nilyo101.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.82) 34.702 ms ae41-0.nilyo102.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.86) 37.949 ms 5 81.253.184.102 (81.253.184.102) 49.485 ms ae40-0.nilyo102.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.66) 38.604 ms 40.003 ms 6 tengige0-14-0-8.auvtr1.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.242.203) 52.666 ms 42.415 ms 42.385 ms 7 tengige0-14-0-8.auvtr1.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.242.203) 42.368 ms 90.84.59.131 (90.84.59.131) 31.005 ms 33.028 ms [root@home ~]# traceroute www.square-enix.com traceroute to http://www.square-enix.com (90.84.59.144), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 livebox.home (192.168.1.1) 4.118 ms 5.963 ms 5.965 ms 2 80.10.121.131 (80.10.121.131) 21.433 ms 22.803 ms 24.456 ms 3 10.123.82.10 (10.123.82.10) 25.973 ms 10.123.82.74 (10.123.82.74) 32.463 ms 10.123.82.10 (10.123.82.10) 28.467 ms 4 ae41-0.nilyo101.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.82) 33.449 ms 34.420 ms 35.316 ms 5 ae40-0.nilyo102.Lyon.francetelecom.net (193.252.101.66) 36.932 ms 37.976 ms 81.253.184.102 (81.253.184.102) 53.063 ms 6 tengige0-3-0-13.auvtr1.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.132.155) 51.318 ms 40.048 ms 40.038 ms 7 tengige0-3-0-13.auvtr1.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net (193.251.132.155) 40.002 ms 29.466 ms 90.84.59.144 (90.84.59.144) 32.923 ms [root@home ~]# Yeah knowing one of the servers IP or something in common before that would allow us to do a tracert and see what happens.
Only thing I can think of is tracerouting to FFXI Official Forums. Byrth mentioned on BG that there might be common issues. I did indeed notice some slowdowns on FFXI forums as well, occasionally, but never noticed if these occurred at the same time. If they do, then we can totally tracert that IP for sure. As for DNS I'm currently using opendns. Tried with Telecom Italia's DNSs as well but no change. I seriously doubt it's anything related to DNSs, it sounds like a routing bottleneck/issue somehwere high above and not related to DNS configuration or anything local on our ends. Carbuncle.Sisko said: » That's the first thing I tried but no cookie. It's not DNS related. All we can do is wait. Or connect another internet source like a smartphone in modem mode / Or connect though a vpn, if you have that. k ![]() Couldn't plug my USB cable on this one. But i'll try with bluetooth when I get home. i repport to SE support they say me to use Google DNS

I will log in tonight and let you know, but I think I have seen reports for several other users that state they can log in now without problem, this may be solved! :) A buddy of mine did a DNS-Flush and it worked again.

No problem at all yesterday either.
