Obama threatens to veto now that Congress works

Quote: Backpedal - to retreat from or reverse one's previous stand on any matter; shift ground Do we need to have "what words mean" time with you, too? Your right, I forgot that you don't have a position, as you just like to pick at everything anyone on the opposite political spectrum to you has to say.
My bad, I forgot that you never come here to discuss anything, just to nitpick at only certain posters here. Googled your phrase and nothing remotely close came up pertaining to Obama, care to source? Somewhat relevant despite the source. But this is what I am talking about Quote: When asked if the U.S. is more racially divided than it was when he took office six years ago, the President responded: "No, I actually think that it's probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided." So you made something up and hoped nobody would call you on it, and throw some random article that isn't even close to backing up your "quote" with a "my bad" for good measure. You should run for office There's no partisan lean on this, you claimed to know what someone else is thinking by fabricating a quote. We all called you out, you failed to produce, and resorted to throwing poo. Also, your over-the-top sarcasm thing is pathetic.
@mods - I'm sure he'll cry for a topic ban, go ahead, I've made my point. So, Obama plans to veto Obamacare repeal #4280 and legislation promoting an incompletely vetted pipeline. This isn't news.
KN espouses personal responsibility.
KN refuses to take responsibility constantly. Way to live up to those values bruh. How about this then?
I'm sure you will find problems with it, like your need to nitpick only on certain people. Lakshmi.Sparthosx said: » KN espouses personal responsibility. KN refuses to take responsibility constantly. I feel like the page not existing is a legit nitpick
Works just fine.
Asura.Kingnobody said: » Works just fine. Notice how the quoted link doesn't work? It's because you changed it, but won't take responsibility for the mistake... two birds with one stone... Also, from the article in question, that doesn't even faithfully quote Obama's speech, instead using quotations while taking EXTENSIVE journalistic license with the actual quote... Quote: Interestingly, Obama's list of victims did not include Christians and straight white males. This is because it is open season on bashing them. According to liberals, everything wrong in the world is the fault of Christians and straight white males. It's a blog rant from one of those elusive "persecuted white christian males", there is only a shred of fact in the entire article and it comes nowhere near your claim that Obama thinks he's the greatest unifier in modern history. Swing and a miss! Sorry, but anyone half a brain could tell that the "[/url" doesn't belong in the link.
Also, what did you want me to do? Get down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness for accidentally putting a 3 letters and 2 symbols at the end of a link? Oh lordy, I have sinned and I beg for your forgiveness, oh mighty *** Jassik, for putting a few symbols at the end of a link! Can you ever forgive me, oh great and powerful *** that you are? People talk about how good things were when Bill Clinton was in charge. And that's true in many ways. But it wasn't because he shoved a far-left agenda down our throats saying we needed it. He was actually incredibly Centristic, and worked daily with the House and Senate to get things passed that were mutually agreed upon.
Ever since, both sides have been "my way or the highway, cuz my 'Merica is better than your 'Merica". It needs to stop. Sadly, every front runner on both sides seem to exude this ideal, and are generally unwilling to work with the other side. And anyone who is willing to be Centrist is shot down by both parties, or ignored or seen as idiot, reference Ron Paul. Bismarck.Snprphnx said: » worked daily with the House and Senate to get things passed that were mutually agreed upon. Only president who has yet to work with Congress is Obama. I hope people like their "change" they voted on.... Sounds like a lot of "Let's keep things the way they've been because it's easier" rather than trying to improve.
Compromising from your position of more rapid progression, to pass something that moves things at a snails pace, seems pretty ***' pointless when the rest of the world and the outlook of the people in it seem to be changing very rapidly. This just in, Obama is not from the US, not even from Kenya, but he is from MARS!!
And I have a website that says so! Odin.Jassik said: » Asura.Kingnobody said: » Sorry, but anyone half a brain could tell that the "[/url[/b]" doesn't belong in the link. But I guess your real goal is nearly accomplished, has it? All that's left it to lock it because you don't agree with what it says. It's very odd to see rational thought associated with avatars of that character.

There are going to be some areas where we disagree and, you know, I haven't used the veto pen very often since I've been in office, partly because legislation that I objected to was typically blocked in the Senate even after the House took over — Republicans took over the House. Now I suspect there are going to be some times where I've got to pull that pen out. And I'm going to defend gains that we've made in health care; I'm going to defend gains that we've made on environment and clean air and clean water. But what I'm hopeful about — and we saw this so far at least in the lame duck — is a recognition by both Speaker Boehner and Mitch McConnell that people are looking to them to get things done and that the fact that we disagree on one thing shouldn't prohibit us from getting progress on the areas where there's some overlap. |
