Need moar GTX Titan Z. A modest graphical solution coming in at a budget friendly $3,000 USD. Because being the gaming Master Race isn't enough, you've got to be the Führer.

TitanZ is a 4K optimized board. It gets outclassed/matched/negligible improvement by most high-performance cards at 1080p.

At 4K resolutions you really need the bloated Vram since SLI solutions don't compound the potential VRAM.

Still, I think Bleeding Edge PC graphics is a waste. A TitanZ will eventually become outdated same as everything else.

AMD has better software driving its graphics, but Nvidia has money. Recently Watch_Dogs has been at the center of a bit of a first-world-problems scandal, where in Ubisoft refuses to release Watch_Dogs code for proper optimization on AMD GPUs.

It really calls into question why Watch_Dogs was downscaled on PS4 from 60FPS/1080p to 900p/30FPS practically overnight. The PS4 uses an AMD GPU, so why won't Ubisoft release the DX11 code to AMD like they did for Nvidia?

Overall, Watch_Dogs is just poorly optimized though. SLI titans can't even run it on Ultra at 60FPS solid.

Sorry about derail-ish tangent.

Ha, did you order from Newegg or something? I always get things in like half the projected time, especially if it's 5+ days estimate. They rule.

My two most hated parts of PC building are seating the motherboard and anything PSU related. You never really know if you *** it up until everything is put together. Even if I've only ever had a MB Short once (Fixed by clearing contact point) it's always in the back of your mind when building.

My least favorite part is the front panel connection, always tedious, and poorly documented.

AMD FX-8350
Corsair H100i

Just gonna use my old R7-260x GPU till I figure out what I want. If anyone has any suggestion's that would be great. Dont wanna go over 400$ for 1 or 2 graphics cards. Any thoughts would be great.

Hello, I got that same case only drawback to that case at is that front door come off hinges very easily and that side panel are not clipless.

I got an asus Maximus formula vi with an I7-4770k also got same aio wc h100i (been reading about custom loops lately might give that a try)only complaint about the h100i is that the fans don't come with arrows to indicate airflow direction, I also added 2 extra noctua fans for more case airflow and very quiet btw.

For video card I got an evga gtx770 4gb classified edition cost me $459 when I bought it last November it handles everything immaculately but there's seems to be a bug with the nvidia drivers that crash not only the game but the whole PC there is a thread about it in the forums and it seems to be nvidia based only.

And I would recommend that before you start up your rig you might want to test it outside the case like putting the mobo on top of the box it came in and add the video card, memory, drive, PSU and verify that is booting ok, sometimes cases come with a screw support that might not be all the way in and cause contact with the mobo stopping it from booting and post pics when done good luck.

If you're committed to a full AMD build, if you can grab an MSI R290 for under 400 bucks, that'd be a good call. Usually they hover around $450 but you know how these things work. Next week they could be $380.

Definitely grab an MSI make if you can, according to reviews, they're much more receptive to OC, run cooler and are generally more stable than Sapphire or Asus.

I almost went with that CPU but I got the FX-8350 for like 170$. Intel just a lil to over priced for my budget atm. Good thinking about trying it all out before putting it in the case. Will do that for sure. Probably gonna stick with all AMD based parts. Still up for ideas for with graphic/graphics cards to get for under 400$ or close.

Personally, I'm not a fan of SLI or Crossfire setups. Aside from limited support for Multi-card setups (Improves every day of course), the biggest misconception about running Crossfire/SLI is that it's equivalent to double power.

For example, the VRAM doesn't compound. If you have two cards that have 2GB VRAM, you do not have 4GB of VRAM, only 2GB. This is especially problematic if you like High Resolutions and minimal/no compression.

But specifically in regards to your question, I honestly don't know. Only someone who's actively run that setup could tell you for sure because of the context-sensitive nature of Crossfire/SLI gaming.

Looking good.

Not directed at you, but anyone in general since this is a PC buildy thread, what are some good ways to protect the PC from dust? I do the basic crap like keep it as high off the ground as is reasonable, but it still looks like someone blew a 5,000 year-old load on everything.

i dont believe a case will truly stop dust from getting inside but they make a damn good job at preventing alot of it. Filters that are removable externally help alot since you can clean them whenever.
I usually run the vacuum around the filters every few of days.

congrats on your new rig

I for the life of me cannot figure out how people keep having horror stories of shorting out there motherboards...

As for dust: it varies depending on the environment. My server (and pc did as well) has collected more dust in a few months in my apartment than it did for over a year running on the floor in a basement, and I vacuum/clean the apartment way more than I did that basement.

The only saving grace I can consider is that the humidity in the basement was less most likely due to running a dehumidifier constantly.

Having a case with an external filter would definitely greatly make it easier to clean, mine currently doesn't even have a filter really, something I should remedy, and could easily add.

Humidity plays a big roll it dust. If you humidifier in you house then you dust problem will be minimal. Same thing with AC units in the window.
