Annoying Controler Problem |

annoying controler problem
I have a controller issue where if I don't turn on my wireless logitech before I open FFXI it won't work. I then have to turn off ffxi, turn on controller then go back into the game. Very annoying when I'm in a rush.
don't think there's a way around that one, apparently it doesn't register the adapter unless the controller is on, may just be sol.
I used to run into a similar issue years ago (again, no problems with the PS2 converter). Mid-game, I'd hear the Windows 'be-doop, do-beep!' sounds of a device disconnecting/reconnecting and my controller would be so much dead plastic. If I remember correctly, if I were using Windower at the time then I could click outside of the game (so it was no longer in focus, manually disconnect/reconnect the controller, actually push a few buttons to make Windows register it, and then bring FFXI back into focus. If I didn't have Windower running then I was SOL and had to temp-log to fix.
Sylfeya, thanks I'll try that next time!

Download xpadder its a very nice tool.Another option is,reinstall controller drivers.Windows updates always fu.k up driver.
A wireless xbox 360 controller and a wired receiver have served me very well. I have never had and issue with it.
get a wired controller that doesn't need to be turned on, that's really the only way, apparently windows doesn't even see the controller, and there's no real way around that.
My choice of USB adapter would be a SUper JoyBox 5 Pro. They run about $15.

Pressure sensitive buttons and force feedback are supported. |
