My cousin keeps finding these around her house/yard and can't id them, and from the searching I've done I can't either. She said it's about the size of a 50c piece. They were found in northern washington state. Anyone who's any good at iding these kinda things have any ideas?

Maybe like baby hobo spiders? :< They look sort of alike and said they are found in the Northwest, though I'm not really sure! Not a spider person, terrified of spiders, never want to see them! I am now slightly afraid to go to sleep from looking on google, but here's a picture. :(

The legs are kinda thick/stubby also the abdomen kinda resembles a trapdoor spider.

Kinda looks like a mouse spider. Though I'm not an expert.

The only clearly medically significant spider in Washington State (read: spider you should worry about) is the Western Black Widow spider (Latrodectus hesperus). Hobo spiders and sac spiders are disputedly medically significant, but that spider is none of these anyway.
I don't know the ID of the spider, but in short, it's not a "dangerous" spider so it's more beneficial to just leave them alone to do what they do best.
A good hint is that if you find a spider, and can't quickly identify it with a google image search, it's probably not an "important" species. "Dangerous" spiders are few and far between and generally their visages are widely circulated.

1.) Squish it and stop the infestation beforeit becomes akin to a bug invasion of Starship Troopers.
2.)Release the bug back into the wild where you'll find it back in your house within the next 22 hours.
3.) Come to a mutual consensus with the spider, and agree to move out and let him have the supreme domain.

It's difficult to tell from the angles of the photographs, but it looks like it could be either a Hobo Spider or a Brown Recluse.

I could help but I need a picture of the abdomen from the top and bottom. Spiders key features are in its abdomen and legs. I could give you a list of spiders just from its legs.

Both species are very common where i live in Ma. And doubt its a recluse as it doesn't fit the description of one. Also not a hobo spider. At least from the pics it does not look like one.
where are you finding these? Floors or ceiling?
Wolf spiders don't spin webs so if your finding webs or finding them in webs, it is not a wolf. Generally not a dangerous spider what so ever, but will hurt like hell if you get bit.
Also its to small to be a mouse spider. It does not fit the description (at least in the pic)
that's just rupert and his old lady... funny story, while they were living together they both secretly took out personal ads in their local paper and wound up hooking up with each other at O' Malley's bar... strangely, neither was upset the other was planning to cheat.

Looks like a woolspider. It nestles in places with lots of moss. Pretty common in netherlands. They can bite and leaves swelling for a few days. But arent generally hostile.
Knowing where your cousin lives would be really helpful. It's not a hobo or recluse. Hobo's are larger, more grey, have longer more segmented legs, and longer bodies. Recluse's have small bodies and very long skinny legs.
There are a million varieties of spiders, most are more helpful than harmful.
Edit: looking through my outdoors literature for Northern Idaho I don't see anything on the dangerous category that looks anything like that spider. I actually can't find it at all.

I bolded it because I was digging through my camping boxes to find the spider books. coastal washington has a few different spiders than inland, but after looking over the whole thing, I don't see any dangerous spiders that it resembles.

We have two major climates in WA state and they do NOT divide north and south. They divide east and west.
Our dangerous ones, brown recluse, hobo, and black widow are found far more often (meaning hardly ever) in eastern WA. When someone in western WA finds one it makes the newspapers. IIRC only the hobo is found west of the Cascades.
Can't ID it though. Have you tried asking an agricultural extension office? Perhaps at the UW or WSU?
