On a serious note, if you never leveled nin or mnk decently, or ever leveled a job to 75 you may not understand haste.
The more the better(25% cap, in gear, but 3% haste is usually some ***like 2.866 or something so you need 26% total for real cap.).
You want to have your acc at the 95% cap and as much haste as possible on your 75+ melees, atk/str/DA/crit come afterwords. Not going to give you a full break down....

I understand what Haste is, I jumped on Headlong Belt as soon as I could equip it. And hope to get Swift soon. :P

I know 1% = 5% DPS, but that has something to do with how it is calculated as a deduction in delay and cumulative factors in combination with other gear.

Now remember this simple formula for all future dealings with Haste:
1/(100-%Haste) = % increase of 1% Haste.
1/(100-80) = 1/20 = 5% increased attack speed from 1% Haste.
Obviously, at lower levels, like just solo farming or something, it will be less of an increase. Going to assume 17% Haste from that screenshot, and 18% with Turban. +10% for Hasso.
1/(100-28) = 1/72 = 1.4% increase in attack speed, if said player were to swap from Askar to turban.
I really don't do much math, I play to have fun. :P

Yar, it's godly when you have outside support from a whm/rdm/brd/dnc etc.
But really for beating around the bush and screwin around it's not a make or break thing. IMO the defense would come in more handy after you've lost that 30 HP the turban gives.

Haste is very complicated, it depends on if your getting the spell, your weapon and other haste slots too. Say the only haste you have is turban, chances are that 5% isn't getting you an extra swing before a merit mob for example dies. In that case it won't be good.
Considering how easy haste is to get, from buyable, to abyssea gear there's no excuse to really have under 14% on any melee job 78+.
You could go ask someone how much a 14% > 13% in haste drop is in dps, but take my word for it, that extra 1% is much better.

And yeah.. it is really strange. It feels like were going back to the days where women have the kids at these early *** ages and popping them out as fast as they can.
And this all really started because a really good old friend of mine got engaged tonight to someone she hasn't even been dating an year.. and all I can think is.. WHAT THE ... /sigh.
