Get Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for PSP. Can also get the first one in the PSN Marketplace (as well as DHD digitally)

It's different from FFT since you do things in turns as a whole rather than each character having their speed determine their turn. Ridiculous strategy involved since you can't just run up and attack since enemies can gang up on people mad fast and there's no reviving in fights - once someone dies, they're lost (in battle - revive at the med person outside). You can deploy up to 10 peeps. Also the AI is pretty ruthless: Will always use the strongest move available.

One derp thing (that also pisses me off) is that they'll always prioritize destroying treasure chests rather than killing you if there's one on the field, lol. I wanted that Hell (money) >:o

Ughhh I might invest in gamefly, that'd solve the problem of wanting to play these games but not wanting to pay full price to beat them within a week.

You probably can finish the story within a week, but you'll be far from beating it. I know people that have like 300+ hours in these games and still aren't even close to unlocking everything.

I wouldn't call them mad difficult. Basic tactic game knowledge will get you through. AI is predictable, you just need to be able to survive ***and kill things. Everything is mission-based. You talk to an NPC to go to a dimension (mission area) and select a mission. All shops and stuff are in one home area.

One thing about this game is the intense grinding. Max level is 9999, and most, if not all, extra content will have bosses at ridiculous levels with ridiculous stats and ridiculous gear.

I'm not talking about Disgaea. I don't have a PS3. I'm talking about Kirby's Yarn, Donkey Kong Country, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Epic Mickey, and whatever else I can find.

I suppose Gamefly would be a practical thing to sign up for if replay value is a huge determining factor in whether or not you purchase a game for keeps. Frankly, I just look at overall quality of the game and the content therein rather than how quickly I can beat it and whether or not it's worth playing again in a semi-frequent manner.

Having played AC. If you don't rush it and actually go for completion not just quick finish it's got a ton of content.

I wanted a low level mage in my Base Panel to get the killing blow on this one mob, so I literally had to use about 6 characters to form a perfect throwing line to reach the mob, lol.

Maybe that just means you need to set down the controller for a bit!

Could be this too. Before a couple months ago over the summer I took a break from onlnie gaming on xbl with canada, hase and ET and I noticed I beat games a lot faster versus if i play a couple hours of shooters a night then a couple hours of story mode.
